Where do you start? This accommodation is simply world class. We've stayed in a lot of places before, but we've never seen anything as amazing as this. Everything is new and furnished with love. Everything has been thought of and nothing is missing. The hosts are very nice and made us feel welcome. Even when we bumped into them in town, they came up to us straight away to say hello. We come to osijek twice a year and now have our fixed accommodation for these two times. We are already looking forward to it again

Beautiful light-filled apartment and right in town, La Luna was a perfect to base ourselves to explore Nasice and other towns. Well-appointed with everything one would need- from a full kitchen to bath products. 2 bikes were also unavailable. Owners we’re friendly, helpful and provided lovely coffee, which was a bonus! We hope to return soon!

The room was nice and comfortable, with a small separate sitting area (slightly different from the photo). Location was good, walking distance from the centre, with parking available in the courtyard. The WiFi worked well. Communication with the hosts went very smoothly, they were very helpful, they even arranged breakfast for us at a nearby guesthouse since their breakfast staff were on holiday.

Very friendly and helpful staff who stayed late for my delayed arrival and and on my last day, when I was in a rush provided a great packed breakfast for me to take away. Large air conditioned rooms with a good sized bathroom and in the lovely historic area of town. Parking is controlled but the Merlon can provide passes, though I used the free parking 3 minutes away for simplicity.

Fabulous friendly front desk and room service staff! A wonderful welcome on checkin for 2 weary travellers and our dog. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcomed anywhere. Absolutely first class service all round. And room service deliveries were very prompt indeed with hot and truly delicious meals.

Fabulous city with beautiful buildings, river, scenery and parks plus interesting history. Well worth a visit, with seasonal direct Ryanair flights from London Stansted make it a great summer vacation or city break! Lovely friendly people and great restaurants too!

Dakovo is calm, safe and very chill.

Dakovo is calm, safe and very chill. Walking around at night was fine for a single woman - lots of restaurants and cafes. Ivandor Horse Farm was idyllic and lovely -not normally something I would do but it was really really picturesque and almost meditative.

Valpovo is a small and quiet town ideal for relaxing. The park in the center is worth taking a relaxing walk but it is rather dark in there in the evening as there are barely any lights there. The surrounding of the city is full of nature. I enjoyed so much in the chamomile field taking photos for hours and listening to the wild animals. Even saw a yound deer.

The national park is amazing but the whole area is beautiful, kinda' old fashioned countryside in the central European region. Eszék is a beaurtiful city that is not that far from Kopács either, worth to visit. It's certainly not a party place though :)

It's a great mid size city, plenty to see and check out, great food allover, the best ice cream I ever had in Dakovo. Friendly people, I was surprised to see so many people using bicycles here. very clean city and safe. The stay stay to short .

A pleasant and clean city, with many bars and restaurants. Cheap food and drink, a meat plate for 5 people was 25 euros. Very friendly staff and residents Despite the fact that we were at the beginning of September, outside the tourist season, there was a varied night life, the disco was open A great starting point for visiting the surrounding sights, I also recommend Vukovar and Osijek Saymoon from Slovenija

Osijek was once the second city in Croatia and still has...

Osijek was once the second city in Croatia and still has evidence of that. The collection of Secessionist buildings on Europska Ave is outstanding on a European scale and it is a disgrace that this hasn't been recognised by the EU. The historic complete military township of Tvrda is also a must visit place. The surrounding Baranje area provides tastes of a country far different to Dalmatia which is what most visitors to Croatia only experience. The Kopacki Rit reserve is a great place for birdwatching including breeding White tailed Eagles and the nearby forest holds large numbers of wild boar.

Dakovo is a hidden Gem in the heart of Slavonija (Croatia). The city centre is small but gorgeous with the Cathedral and the park for romantic walks right beside it. Even though it is not the biggest city, it is bursting with life. The centre is full of cafés, restaurants, shops and there are people everywhere chatting, relaxing, soaking up the sun. The food in Slavonija is known to be some of the best in all Croatia, and Dakovo is the perfect place to try it! Only a short drive away from Osijek, but definetly worth it! There are also the prize-winning horses to see, a market to enjoy and nature reserves and ponds nearby to relax on the hotter summer days.
