I loved EVERYTHING about Neano Escape. From arrival to departure, the entire staff was soo friendly & greeted me by name. They were all soo attentive, including the manager. Food was AMAZING & tasty. There will never be enough words to describe my experience at Kastara and it’s nothing short of amazing. The views are incredible and it never gets old waking up to nature sounds and a beautiful sunlit forest. We booked the room with an outdoor tub, which on hindsight was better than the ones with private pool, cause we were located at the top floor with the highest bird eye view possible. Staff was warm, friendly, always greeted us and attended to all of our needs. Loved that the hotel caters to only a few rooms and guests, it felt private and peaceful. Room was spacious with high ceilings and made us feel like royals. Bed and linens were super comfortable. We liked it so much we ordered room service every other day. Breakfast is ok but the team was so sweet they packed boxes to take with us to Mount Batur as we had to be up early at 2am. We also booked a 3 hour spa experience with the resort and it was worth every penny. On one of the days we took the Campuhan Ridge Walk to Ubud Center. Resort is very secluded and situated in an area run by a local community, so any private cars or taxis that enter are required to pay a fee. We hired one of their community drivers whenever we needed to go to city (which was rare, cause we had so much exploring to do with day tours anyway). Honestly, this doesn’t make the experience feel any less as it’s not possible to get the same views and environment if we stayed anywhere more central. Overall, 10/10 will come back for a relaxing holiday and get pampered in a traditional luxe resort.

Everything was absolutely amazing, starting with the people who were so welcoming. The pool is stunning as promised with breathtaking views of the jungle. The breakfast is one of the best we have had (ever) with fresh products including home made sourdough selections and plenty of choices for everyone. We also went on one of the excursion planned by the hotel, both the driver and the guide were amazing and we had a fantastic time despite of the rain. They have an animal garden where the kids can feed the goats and cows. They also have times during the day were the kids can feed the hundred Coi carps. The SPA is also gorgeous with very nice treatment options.

With one word - Breathtaking! I've never been in a better hotel. The stuff is very professional, always smiling, helpful, asking if you have everything you need. Rooms are beautiful, always super clean, bonus is a 15 min. voucher for foot massage and morning hike to the rice fields included in the hotel price. Very delicious food in the restaurant, epic view of mount Agung during sunrise. You can also order breakfast into the pool. I experienced in this hotel also the best massage in my life. And the last thing is the hotel is exclusive but still cozy. A few bungalllows, so there is a big chance soubor have the view from pool just for yourselves.

So much to do there, great for shopping, monkey forest was amazing, the giant swing awesome, the hidden zoo, temples, scooters everywhere. Very hot and this is November! People were lovely good access to taxis, great stay. We went to the Seven Paintings fine dining restaurant for our daughters 21st very interactive and amazing art combined with food experience!

Kuta is very busy, traffic is hectic, but there is plenty to see and do. Shopping is good, with plenty of bargains and hotels are very good. It was easy to get a taxi to travel around and we found the best driver, BAGUS, who took us on a 12 hour day tour of middle Bali (Ubud and surrounds) for only $50 AUD.

this is an up and coming area in Bali. it looks like it will be upmarket from the shops, bars and restaurants that are already there. Its very busy and the traffic is hectic ( as is everywhere in Bali). Its a younger persons place as plenty of parties and activities. Would recommend to anyone under 40 that wants a hip vibe and action. if your older stick to Sanur

I'm not a shopper, as I had been travelling in northern Bali I wanted a few days chillin, lovely clean beach, very very busy at sunset, which were beautiful. I didn't find much else other than the usual, shops with anything and everything fake you could want, tattoo shops, massage shops, lots of different types of food, great coffee shops. I was happy to wander, have a daily walk to the beach, relax around the pool, often I was the only person there.

Great place.

Great place. Lots of excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches nearby. My favourite was Nyang Nyang Beach which is easy to reach. It's a sandy beach with great waves for surfing. Swimming is a bit more tricky as the bottom is rocky and the currents can be a bit challenging. There is a bar for refreshment and the beach is spacious and doesn't feel crowded. Uluwatu attracts lots of surfers and that's a bit the vibe that you get here.

Liked · We stayed at Sumitra Villas for a week to acclimatise ourselves for a longer stay in Raja Ampat. We loved our stay at this hotel so much we decided to return after Raja Ampat to wind down. Our accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well serviced. The bed decoration for my wife's birthday was a nice surprise. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and have a truly tropical feel with a lovely pool and sun beds. However the best part to the hotel is the service provided by all the staff, from the reception staff; Vena and her colleagues in the restaurant to the room keeping and the hotel transport; Sri the manager and her team. All the staff are so friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make our stay very special. We really enjoyed the entertainment provided by the hotel and were lucky to be there when the hotel hosted a local traditional dance group. We were also lucky to be invited by the hotel to visit a local priests home to see a side of traditional Bali culture which we otherwise would not have seen. It is very rarely that we have been made to feel so cared for in a hotel stay and are very grateful to Sri and all her staff for all their efforts. Disliked · We cannot fault this hotel.

If you want to shop in the markets, get a tattoo, eat in Aussie pub style venues then head to Legian. The traffic is becoming busier by the day and you should consider this if you need to travel to other attractions away from your accommodation.

this was my first trip to Bali, and it is not really my sort of holiday - I prefer to move around more rather than stay in the one place. If a 'fly and flop' holiday is your thing - this is a good place to do it

Nusa Penida is a wild island, there are stunning views and beaches. It is not easy to wonder around. Roads are bad and it is not the best if you are not an expert with the scouter, in that case you will need to use the local drivers. I suggest Crystal Bay, and Klingking Beach (for sure). If you got to do the snorkeling with the Manta Rays go early, later it is really crowded. Consider that it takes long time to go in the main point of interests.

Jungutbatu is not like the rest of the island which is quite traditional which we like. Jungutbatu has many international restaurants and upmarket boutique type shops. There are few places where you can get the opportunity to swim with manta rays. Everything costs little more than in Bali as everything has to be brought in from Bali, but still good value for money. D'Stars ferry was excellent.
