The hotel feels like a tropical paradise, the gardens are lovely and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. We were staying at the private villa which is definitely worth the additional spend to enjoy outdoor bathroom and private pool! The food at the hotel restaurant is top notch, for all breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. We also booked a private trip to see Komodo national park with the hotel, it was a dream come true as we were able to see Komodo Dragons and snorkel with Manta Rays. The company they work with is great, we went with 4 other hotel guests and it was a semi-private boat trip experience with lunch provided as well. A must do if you are staying at the hotel. One of the best hotels I’ve been to

Everything was amazing! Katamaran is an absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms were stylish, perfectly clean, the beds comfortable, the breakfast had a ton of choices and good quality. They offer stand-up paddling, snorkeling, and kanu (or however that boat is called). They were always super friendly. The view in the evening is amazing. And it's also pretty nice to wake up seeing the ocean. The staff was super friendly and supportive

The villas are very beautiful and comfortable. They have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The pool is wonderful. All the staff are lovely people, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Ricky in particular is doing an excellent job. He’s such a kind guy, always making sure everything is perfect and that we feel comfortable. He helped us with absolutely everything (scooter rental, tips on places to visit nearby, taxi to the airport, etc.). We’re very grateful to have met him. We extended our stay for two more days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer :)

Charlie and his wife Maria welcomed us in the warmest of ways in their self-built and self-designed homestay. The structure is very beautiful, with a nice pool outside. We were provided a free shuttle from the LBJ airport. Rooms were clean, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were simple but exquisite. You can really tell Charlie has a taste for hospitality, we recommend it 100%.

I was lucky to have picked Anjo for my visit to the Maumere area. It's a real gem, just 5 min from a quiet beach and 10 min from town. The service level of the entire staff is definitely up to western standards. The food in the restaurant was delicious and some of the fruits and vegetables come from the property's own garden. You might be tempted by some of the beach accommodations in the area, but the people I met in the restaurant and at a snorkeling tour who stayed closer to town all struggled with sleep due to traffic and karaoke parties, which seem common practice. They wished they had booked at Anjo. So, from one traveler to another: look no further.

We had a very comfortable stay at the bungalows — clean, cozy, and with breakfast included each morning. While there are small corals just in front of the resort for a quick snorkel, the real highlight is the stunning reefs reachable by boat. Claudia organizes daily trips, making it super easy to explore the area — perfect for both snorkelling and diving. Another unforgettable experience was the walking trip to Egon Volcano, which is nearby. The views were incredible and absolutely worth the hike.
