The landlord is a real gem. Tasty breakfast on the porch right on the beach to the rythmen of the waves. Had a hard time leaving this place and Bunaken. Bertie you are the best! Tom & Kat

Excellent food, lots of fruit, good variety, different dishes every meal. Fish was very fresh and often accompanied by a photo of the actual fish. Stephen and Missi made us feel like part of the family. Stephen arranged for car and boat transportation from the airport and later to Tangkoko. Also for a snorkeling boat. Very attentive and interested in our welfare.

The location on the island is perfect, at the best part of the reef for snorkeling. The owners, David and Fu, are very helpful and kind. Their enthusiasm and love for this area is contagious. The dive center is well equipped and all staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is varied and portions more than big enough. It’s hard to find anything negative to say about this place. We would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at 3Will for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The staff are super friendly and both the accommodation and location are amazing. The food was varied daily, which meant we never had to eat the same thing twice and was really tasty. A real community vibe within the resort and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the beach with the Bunaken band, having a sing-song and sharing a few shots of a locally produced arrack. We did scuba diving for 3 days and snorkelling for one day. The dive sites are some of the best you can hope to see! The boat crew are very accommodating and the dive guides are really helpful and friendly. The groups are really small, which made the experience feel very personal and also helped us feel safe and comfortable. It was our first diving in 6 months and the team put a guide in the water specifically for us on the first day so that we could reacclimatise at our own pace. Diving felt super safe, there was always a briefing beforehand, safety stops at the correct depth and for the right amount of time and guides never attempted to take us beyond our limits. We absolutely loved our time and can't wait to find a way back there again!

Staff was very attentive. Dives were amazing. Everything is perfect. When you are in the pool they rush to bring you a nice cold ice tea. Food is amazing, they even served eclaires as a dessert :). Big Cottage has a great view, very nice balcony. They wash everything for you, they give you hot towels and cookies after a dive, they have danish pastry, great homemade ice cream, there is a JBL music box in the room, and yes a nice bar.

Highly recommend 2 fish, the staff were amazing, the food was great and the bungalow huts were very cosy. My friend and I stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave! Beautiful place and beautiful people. I also did my open water Padi here, the dive instructor Arjun was amazing you couldn’t have asked for a more patient and friendly guy, thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely return!

Villa Queen’s made our Bunaken trip extraordinary.

Villa Queen’s made our Bunaken trip extraordinary. Though we stayed in the Homestay, it felt like a four-star resort thanks to cozy memory foam beds, air conditioning, and a stylish bathroom. Power and internet never failed, which was impressive given the island’s frequent outages—Starlink made working online effortless. We loved having access to multiple pools, a gym, and special experiences like carving lessons. Excursions took us from dolphin tours to cultural sites, and the diving team helped both beginners and certified divers feel at ease in the water. The food blew us away—fresh, flavorful, and farm-to-table quality. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, adventure, and authentic local flavor.

Our stay at Villa Queen’s in Bunaken was unforgettable.

Our stay at Villa Queen’s in Bunaken was unforgettable. Even in the Homestay section, the comfort felt luxurious, with memory foam beds, personal fans, air conditioning, and a well-designed bathroom. Despite frequent island-wide power outages, we always had electricity and fast Starlink internet—ideal for remote work. Guests enjoy access to three pools, a gym, and even unique activities like wood carving with the resident artist. We explored the region through guided tours, dolphin watching, and sunset cruises, while diving options ranged from PADI certifications to beginner-friendly pool sessions. The food, sourced from their own farm hotel, was simply outstanding. Villa Queen’s combines comfort, adventure, and world-class hospitality in one remarkable experience.

Well, a week is certainly enough to get your fill of Bunaken...

Well, a week is certainly enough to get your fill of Bunaken itself, but as soon as you take your eyes out of the water, it is clear that the area has much more to offer with dramatic volcanic mountains lining the Manado Bay. We visited the Tunan waterfall and spent a day in Tangkoko National park, but I wished we could have also explored the highland towns, the Soputan and Lokon volcanoes and Lembeh strait. It is pretty impressive to have so many different experiences within 50 km from Manado.
