The Irish foodie and cultural gem that should not be missed...

The Irish foodie and cultural gem that should not be missed and deserves at least one overnight in this colourful port town. Watch out for the numerous festivals held here throughout the year, with some amazing ones held in the later part of the year when most places are very quiet, try the October Féile Bia (food festival), or in November book a few days for the Film Festival, Literary Festival or Other Voices (absolutely unique festival). As for food, there's so much choice here, the recently opened 505 Restaurant stands out as exceptional in a town with some of the best eating (Half Door, Out of the Blue, Doyles, Fentons etc) and drinking venues (Currans, Dick Macs, Foxy Johns etc) in the whole of Ireland.

One of my favourite beach in all Ireland with Fermoyle Beach on the other side of the peninsula. Stupendous views. I'd recommend booking dinner at Out of the Blue in Dingle. The best seafood restaurant in Ireland in my view. For kids there's a pet farm after ventry where you can feed sheep, lambs, goats, alpacas, horses, pigs.

The hotel we stayed in was probably the only one of significance in Annascaul. And it was great. We loved the village as it has character and is near Dingle etc., But is a great small town of itself and it has the history of the Antarctic hero, Tom Crean. Well worth a visit for a night or two or as a base for swimming, hikes, excursions in beautiful country.

This is a very small village.

This is a very small village. If you are looking for lots of activities within walking distance, this is not the place. The views and walking trails here are lovely, but no shops or restaurants. That being said, the locals are absolutely warm and inviting.

Location and views were great.

Location and views were great. Staff was so so with exception of one man possible the owner who was very nice and informative. The bar is super small. Most guest were hikers. Honestly happy we stayed there instead of Dingle town. Best showers in Ireland. Not happy with breakfast

Dingle is a beautiful place.

Dingle is a beautiful place. There was much to see in the surrounding areas and it is close enough to enjoy a bit of sightseeing, yet far enough to enjoy a slower more relaxed atmosphere after a busy day. I would love to see the area in the spring.

The guest house is great, love the location and would come back again. I would love to stay for longer but it’s too expensive to stay for a week after I’ve paid for the hire car etc x the pub is lovely next door with great food x

Annascaul is a beautiful little village with 5 vibrant pubs,...

Annascaul is a beautiful little village with 5 vibrant pubs, a cafe, a shop, a pottery cafe and a jewellery making shop. It is positioned in a great location, just a few mins from gorgeous beaches, mountains and lakes. 15mins from Dingle. It is a small village steeped in amazing history and locals are welcoming to all. Highly recommend the river walk, a trip to Inch beach and Annascaul lake. Dan Foleys pub is a treasure of a pub and the South Pole Inn is a must.
