However, the roads can get crowded, especially during peak pilgrimage season, and better traffic management would enhance the overall experience. I had an amazing time in Gulmarg (Dec 24-26th, 2024), especially enjoying the Gondola ride to Phase 1 and Phase 2. Starting early is highly recommended to avoid long queues for the Gondola. Phase 1 offers thrilling winter sports, and an afternoon tour of Gulmarg city, lasting about 1-1.5 hours, is a delightful addition to the experience.

If you plan a trip to Kashmir do include a trip of 2-3 days...

If you plan a trip to Kashmir do include a trip of 2-3 days to Pahalgam. On the way to Pahalgam, you will come across saffron fields in the season. Once there, the major attractions in the trip are Amarnath base camp Chandanwadi, Aru valley, Betaab valley and nearby Baisaran valley. No items are specially produced there; it is for the abundance of mountain scenic views. Other things are the pony ride and market for jackets, bags, saree, suits and other women dresses. Must bargain prices though.

Awesome place where everyone can fall in love with nature, mountains, snow and water. It's an assorted place. I Recommend other travellers to visit the Zero Point, Ghumri War Memorial. The must visit place in Sonamarg is Tajiwas Glacier and the lakes there surrounded by mountains where my recommendation is to Trek on your own with your partner / friends / family members. It gives you a best feel.

The most attractive thing in Patnitop is Sanasar lake. you can take horse for it otherwise also u can go. but they show many good locations like elephant neck on one tree, Gold ground, eco point and lake. otherwise we cannot come to know about it. While coming back stop on Nathatop. Small Parks are there but in one we need to again hire horse and they charge Rs. 1250 to take to different points. Skyview Rope way and other activities in that place is worth and different experience. magic carpet and moving excaletor. Nag temple is ok. other than this nothing as such to visit. 1 and half day is more than enough of this place. Since we went in off season, we didnt got any snow.

It's beautiful place with friendly people, I was afraid to...

It's beautiful place with friendly people, I was afraid to visit after hearing so much bad news but I found people from all community freely intermingling on streets and lot of respect and affection. Presence of security forces everywhere gives a different feel than any other Indian state. I would recommend everyone to visit Kashmir without any hesitation.

They peoples make fool of all the devoties and they says that they are not the part of India and behave very rude. They only want money at every point of time. They will also force you to buy item at their dedicated stores like food, Prasad etc as they have setting for short amount of money as their commission.

We love Jammu city every time we visit.

We love Jammu city every time we visit. It is well connected and there are a lot of places to see here! The surrounding mountains carry a different beauty! We visited Vaishnodevi which is about an hour drive from Jammu. It is a must place to visit. Hike on the mountains for 13 kilometers is worth it!
