CanadaThe location was superb. We left our car in an inexpensive carpark and did much of our exploration on foot. We were beside the lake, near the parliament buildings, across from the church (which kindly was NOT ringing its bells), and dozens of excellent restaurants. We drove to the sites further afield. We had selected the "Big Room 307" and were charmed by it. A separate bedroom, good bathroom, and a sitting room with sofa and bar stools at the counter. The breakfast buffet got us off to a good start each day. All the Reception staff were great with Martin setting the tone. Lovely to have met you all.

A few hours before arrival, you get an amazing video tour of the hotel that explains everything (codes, entrance, etc.), so there’s zero stress! it’s all perfectly easy to understand! And if you ever have any questions, you can reach them by phone all day, plus they reply super fast by email too! The customer service is just incredible!
The location is great, bus stops for tours are nearby, which makes things really convenient, and there’s a supermarket less than 5 minutes away on foot (Bonus)! The room was huge, with so much space! The cleaning staff were absolutely lovely, and of course, they do an amazing job, the room was spotless!
Honestly, I loved my stay, and on top of everything, it wasn’t even expensive. I’d come back without hesitation! ❤️

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Reykjavik Marina Berjaya Hotel! The location is perfect—right in the marina and close to the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore Reykjavik’s top attractions. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable, and offers fantastic value for money.
What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is their exceptional service. I had to checkout really early in the morning to catch a flight to Greenland and accidentally left my tablet in my room. To my positive surprise, the staff went above and beyond to assist me. They promptly located it and arranged to send it back to me, which was a huge relief! This wouldn’t have happened in many other places and I hope the staff knows that, when doing that, they’re actually giving guests a very premium service.
Reykjavik Marina Berlanja Hotel combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough—definitely 5 stars!

Great location, right in the city center.
Great big and clean rooms with very good curtains (is very important in Iceland in the summer nights).
The breakfast had a lot of choices even with something extra if you request some gluten free choices.
It is great that you can take sandwiches/snacks for a little fee.

Breakfast was very nice comparing to other hotels of this price range. Location is excellent: close to the city center and still in the pretty quite place, and close to the food court which I advice to visit to escape overprices tourist palaces. Room was quite standard for the business hotel, clean and quite.

As guests we had access to the spa, which was very lovely!!

Reykavik is the best.
Reykavik is the best.
the people and city our so warm and welcoming, very forward thinking and I felt safe walking around all of the time.
There were so many things to do, whether you wanted a more lively night out or to chill out at a cat cafe when you weren’t off sightseeing outside of the city.
The perfect base point as well to go and do whale watching, see the northern lights and do the golden circle.
If confident enough would recommend hiring a car to reduce expenses of trips and cabs as are very expensive and parking was easy.

Hafnarfjorthur was between Keflavic and Reykjavik making it quite handy and more affordable to stay at. We rented a car to tour the Golden Circle, enjoy the Blue Lagoon, and sightsee in Reykjavik and felt that was a good choice. We didn't sightsee in Hafnarfjorthur.

Great location if you are looking for accommodation as part of planning to do the Golden Circle. Circa 40-45 minute drive to Thinvellir. Grocery store nearby (sells good quality sushi) however only a few eating out options.

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities.The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.

Absolutely stunning city with happy friendly people. Amazing sights to see in the city, but a whole lot more around and outside the city. Wish I could have stayed longer. But I’ll definitely be back to this beautiful country.

We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it!
Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.
