FAQs about hotels in Dolomites
Spiky Peaks and Spectacular Pistes
Characterised by Tyrolean chalets and spiky peaks, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites are a spectacular part of the Italian Alps. Some parts belonged to Austria, so German is widely spoken.
Site of several luxury Dolomites hotels on Booking.com is Cortina d’Ampezzo, a glamorous town with great après-ski and scenery that has starred in several films. To the east Auronzo di Cadore is by a tranquil lake, while Corvara is surrounded by stunning mountains. Nearby Ortisei and Selva offer fantastic skiing and rock climbing.
The riverside town of Bolzano (Bozen in German) is home to Ötzi the iceman, a 5000-year-old mummy found in the Alps above Merano, a ski resort with a castle and botanical gardens. Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites has access to over 150 km of ski runs, and one of the ‘vie ferrate’, hiking paths with steel handrails. Other Dolomites ski resorts are Arabba and Canazei, separated by the area’s highest pass.
Just south, Rocca Pietore is next to Marmolada, the tallest Dolomites mountain. Nearby Alleghe has a beautiful setting on a lake used for winter ice skating, while San Martino di Castrozza to the south-west has many Dolomites ski hotels near a range of pistes. The church spire of beautiful Belluno to the south-east creates a great photo opportunity against the backdrop of mountains.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 178 reviewsThis is the highest value for money we ever had. The hotel is located on the top of the hill, with an amazing view of the green fields. The food is nothing but PERFECT, we waited every day for the dinner to come!! Amazing amazing amazing!! Outside pool was really nice, gym is small but packed with dumbells and multi trainer. Indoor pool and jaccuzi were very good, the jacuzzi can be warmer, but it was ok. The landscape and food are the most incredible advantages of this hotel, we didnt want to leave! A big thanks to Fabian and Philip, and the women waitress was very kind! If we ever arrive at the Dolomites again, we will definitely come back!!!Guest review byEranIsrael

Would like to go back prepared to do the walks and hikes in the area. The old city and market were charming. Loved the Archeology museum and learning about Otzi the Iceman. Cable car and train a great introduction to the possibilities available for future visits.Guest review byKellyCanada - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 8.0
This is further to my previous review on Garni Rives.
This is further to my previous review on Garni Rives. I gave the hotel a review that reflects my honest opinion, mainly about the manager/host of the hotel. Obviously my review was not received with warmth from the hotel manager. He messaged me immediately via Whatsapp and blamed me being not polite to him, I have no idea where does this come from. I believe he has broken the golden rule of being in me the hospitality industry, if he cannot accept honest reviews, how can he improve to thrive on? The hotel itself is OK and the only problem I have is the steep climb (not the hotel's fault) and mainly the manager's manner.Guest review byAnthonyAustralia - 10

Nice and clean apartment.
Nice and clean apartment. Even we only had contact with the host via the chat, the host was very helpful though. The location of apartment was perfect. It's located in the city center. We love the view outside the living room. Parking was 15 euro per night, it's very nearby apartment. We had a lovely stay at Casa Fellin.Guest review bySumalaiNetherlands - 10

Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town. There is a train station for trips to other nearby towns or into Austria. The bus service is excellent. You can go for hikes up the Dolomites and reach the famous three peaks. So much to do. The drinking water is amazing.Guest review byMonica - 10

The town had everything we wanted in terms of services and places to visit were all in close proximity of one another. We ate at the hotel on the main street as well as a pizzeria a few doors down from our place. The pizza was the best there. We enjoyed the hikes and mountain biking and shopping in town.Guest review byErmelindaCanada - 10
Kronplatz is everyone's favorite skiing destination.
Kronplatz is everyone's favorite skiing destination. Many slopes of varying difficulty. Something for everyone. All are very well groomed every single night. Lifts are refreshed / replaced by newer at extreme rates. Parking at the bottom station of the gondola is the best that you will ever experience and the price is quite affordable.Guest review byJurajCroatia - 10
Belluno is a stunning town.
Belluno is a stunning town. You are always surrounded by spectacular mountains and the beautiful turquoise colour of the river. Considering the size of the town there are many excursions available a short distance away and the local cuisine does not disappoint! There are many restaurants and cafes in close proximity to Piazza dei Martiri (Martyrs' Sq). While we were there we had the opportunity to experience the carbonara festival which was a delight! Loved the fact that we had no issues with crowds or traffic which was a welcome surprise. And loved the small town intimacy.Guest review byLidiaCanada
