The hotel is a little gem: elegant, comfortable and so welcoming, with views to the mountains. Breakfast was abundant and offering some nice specialties and good vegan/vegetarian options. There is a small gym, which could be improved. The staff was truly exceptional: efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We got great tips for visiting nearby areas and could check-in before noon even, within an hour since booking (we had hastily left a nearby accommodation with an inappropriate owner). The dinner options were also good and decently priced. Rooms ar not very big but offer all the comfort you need and the bathrooms have a very elegant and modern design. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is free parking on the site. We can only recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it whenever we are nearby.

The location of the hotel is perfect in walking distance to Orta San Giulio by the lake of Orta. Having car parking is big plus. Our room had an amazing lake view, clean, sufficient sqm. All the stuff, starting from the reception are very helpful and nice. The breakhast has good variety of the food and sitting on a table with wonderful view in front of you is unique experience. Definitely worth to repeat.

Luca is a fantastic host and we received a very warm welcome- really impressed. Wonderful view from our top floor kitchen window and use of a spacious, well-kept garden in a beautiful home. The children loved the pets, bubble pool and playing tennis. We enjoyed our meal under the colonnades on our last night, overlooking the beautiful Lake D'Orta. Close to great corner shop for self catering and walking distance from traditional Italian Ostieretta.

The Approdo is superbly located by the Cinderella lake, Lago D’Orta. Rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff very helpful. The Buffet breakfast catered for all nationalities with a great choice of food. Staff at the pool shack made an iced espresso that kept the energy levels up. Can’t fault this property.

I loved the central location, the fact that our spacious and comfortable room overlooked the lake, the lift, the possibility of parking our motorcycle inside a garage, the vicinity of bars and restaurants, the good breakfast and the friendly and helpful staff.

Choose a room with air condition if you are planning to come in summertime… we had booked a double room without it and that room was like a hot cave. We were able to upgrade to another room and it was totally worth it.

I had a lovely stay.

I had a lovely stay. The location is perfect and I spent quite some time on my balcony which overlooked the lake. The breakfast was delicious and the attention to detail excellent. Massimo is a great host.

There were market stalls on Thursday.

There were market stalls on Thursday. Extremely helpful and patient locals (we speak a tiny, tiny amount of Italian). Great local takeaways, cafe's and restaurants. A couple of supermarkets if you really want them but why would you with all the local shops selling the best cheese, meats, bread and pastries.

If you are seeking peace, tranquility and natural beauty - this is the place for you. No children and gorgeous lake - much smaller than Como or Maggiore but you can easily get to Maggiore in 30 minutes if you want more life. Gorgeous restaurant which the hostess arrange for us with taxi to and from included just down the road and a little local Osteria 30 meters away for a truly local experience.

Here, I was welcomed by a nice Italian Older Lady at Church who was from the town. Within a few days, I made friends with another Italian lady and her friend. It was good to get to know new people there. My neighbors were friendly to me too even though they didn't speak any English. I hope to go back to see them again. There was lots of Nature and Hikes. Lake Orta was 10 km away. Buses are accessible to there. Milan is 2 hrs by train from there. It was a Unique Experience for me in Italy.

We stayed in Alzo, part of Pella apparently, but its own...

We stayed in Alzo, part of Pella apparently, but its own little village up the hill somewhat on the west side of Lago d'Orta. The square looks over the lake: fantastic view with a small village feeling. Post office, lodging choices, church, dining (Osteria del Gallo), bank, all a short drive down to Pella or up more to the homes and sights high above.

Loved the building we stayed in and the hosts were lovely and informative. The area is less touristy than Como and has a peaceful charm about the place. Some of the restaurants in Orta were less than charming but that can happen anywhere. Next time we would stay longer and explore the hiking potential.

what a beautiful place, very lovely people, a lot of Italians, Swiss, German and Italians. Very friendly and approachable. Very close to Mottarone mountain and Lake Orta, about 40 mins to lake Maggiore (Stresa)

We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover...

We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover coming from france travelling down through Italy, however it was exactly what we expected and more. A really lovely location with a great aspect, Monte Bianco was viewable from our room balcony. it was very clean and the staff were helpful. the food was nice, however i would of liked to seen an itemised bill for our food, when we checked out. On retrospect i'm not sure if i was overcharged slightly for our dinner. If that was the case its partly my fault for not enquiring further. Having said this we would definitely return if we took this route again. Peaceful and enjoyable stay with clean nice rooms.

We loved the place.

We loved the place. Taking boats to the village's and th island is a must. The restaurant on the island is wonderful with great food and if you sit by the window as we did a wonderful view. You also need to walk up the sacred mount to see all the chapels. The place is not a mass tourist place so visit now before others find it.

Miasino is a quit small village.

Miasino is a quit small village. We choose for a dinner @ villa Nigra Taverne. Fine and fresh cooked. The other day we start to walk down to the lake steep but nice walk for 20 minutes and visit the old village for a couple of hours.
