Castel di Lucio is truly a magical place. When we booked a stay in a castle, we had no idea what an extraordinary experience awaited us. The owner graciously gave us a tour, revealing the rich history embedded in every corner. It's absolutely worth staying here. Kudos to the incredible restoration and repurposing work done after the 2016 earthquake. The castle has been beautifully preserved, blending historical charm with modern comforts. The food was exceptional. For just 30 euros, we enjoyed the 'aperi-cena' (appetizers-dinner), which turned out to be a sumptuous 5-course meal with wine included. We were blown away! The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was impeccable. If you're visiting Norcia, Ascoli Piceno, or simply passing through the region, staying at Castel di Lucio is a must. We can't recommend it highly enough!
