I was absolutely enchanted by it because sometimes it's essential to escape the city and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature, to feel like a part of it. My children were absolutely thrilled with the hotel, as there were various activities tailored just for them! The customer service was outstanding, and the restaurants served delicious food - staff were incredibly kind and exceptionally attentive. The rooms were immaculate and tidy. The surrounding forest is vast, and while we sometimes had to drive to reach another restaurant, we could also explore the area by bike or on foot. We are a family from Armenia, and we will definitely be back! 🇦🇲🇮🇹

Room was comfortable and the view of Montecattini Alto was stunning. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk from the centre and 25 from the train station. It's a pleasant walk along a boulevard through the park but it is slightly up hill on return. Really easy to get to the Aurostrada by car so you can explore the area. The Funicular upto Montecattini Alro is a short 5 mins walk round the corner & well worth taking the trip up for €1.50 each way. We had hired a car so parked in the small carpark across the road next to the tennis courts which was really convenient, although there was lots of on street parking available again. Hotel was very clean in the room & the communal areas, the decor is traditional in places with a twist of modern. The breakfast selection was great, there was full english, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese, meats and cereal. There was plenty of comfortable seating both inside & out. Hotel staff were all very friendly, the bar and reception are open 24hrs. Overall you can't go wrong if you stay here, it has everything you'd need, great value for money.

We had an amazing experience and just a short distance from home, for my son's birthday. From the moment we arrived, Filomena and the entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome. We are hikers and rock climbers, the location was good for climbing in nearby Monsummano, Several Via Ferattas are within an hour or two drive. The restaurants are many and most are quite good, especially in Montecatini Alto. For those who like to shop, the main plaza has a plethora of sores, including high end shops.

The location is great if you are traveling by car. There place is very relaxing and can travel by train to Florence and by car to Lucca, Citta di Vinci and other places nearby. Pistoia is a good place nearby to eat.

Pescia is a quaint little town with all the modern and traditional facilities. Close to the autostrada and with a train station it is also excellent for other trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and beyond. Quite apart from traditional churches, museums, galleries and theatres in Pescia there are also local villages and towns such as Monte Carlo and Monteterme to enjoy. There are plenty of supermarkets, bars, restaurants and trattoria to explore.

Monsummano is an interesting town with a history I do not feel I explored enough.There is a museum and a library that I would have liked to have visted, but I enjoyed walking around and drinking coffees here and there. Only one decent restaurant as far as I could find - the Sotto Grotta in the Piazza Giusta ... but I could cook for myself (once I found the sumpermarket) and all in all it has a lovely feel with pleasing architecture.

If you are traveling in Tuscany by car, staying in Lamporecchio and wandering around it may be a good alternative for you. You can reach most of your destinations in half an hour to an hour. There are local restaurants, cafes and patisseries.

A good base if your a bit more adventurous and don't mind...

A good base if your a bit more adventurous and don't mind travelling by train. For example Pisa and Florence are both reachable by train but include changing trains at various places. Montecatini itself is a little run down in places with all the spa buildings closed. A nice little town square where a few bars can be found. Montecatini Alto is a gem reached by a funicular railway and Lucca (40 mins by train) is well worth a visit.

Pistoia is a small town, not Firenze or even the size of Lucca. However, it has amazing architecture and plenty to explore. There are many, many restaurant choices, it's clean, safe and appealing. It's so easy to drive in and walk to the center. Prices are low. We loved the ease of dining after a day of exploring. A GREAT stepping off point to Florence and Lucca by car or train.

Interesting historic town divided by the Fume Pescia. Lively market on Saturday morning and Locanda Sotto i Portici restaurant is highly recommended. Provides a good base for exploring N Tuscany, Lucca, Pisa and Florence all within an hour’s drive.

Lamporecchio does not offer very much apart from " brigidini" local sweets, a visit to Pasticceria Carli is worthwhile . The village is pretty dull and rather modern in spite of the fact that it is cited in the Decameron written in the year 1300 d.C. by the famous Italian novelist and poet Giovanni Boccaccio.
