Hotel - very nice layout. The best of our trip. Room was very spacious, especially for Japan. Staff were very professional and helpful - booking reservations for us (recommended with the better restaurants in the area). Location - walking distance to most sites. Very short walk to the market. A bit of a walk from the train station but certainly doable for most people. Bed was large and comfortable, and room was quiet. Bonus - laundry facilities, and a first for me, you could monitor the 4 washing machines on the floor below with your TV! Love Japan!

Great location just 4 min walking distance to Omicho Market and 15 min from Kanazawa JR station. Breakfast buffet was 1800 yen and SO delicious!! Staff are nice and amenities are good. the room had a massage cushion which was very nice. Coffee machine in the lobby has hot milk and chocolate

They had treats that were not mentioned in booking like panckes in the afternoon, happy hour, free juice/ tea etc , puding in the evening and even a short traditional performance The staff went out of his way to accomodate my dietry restrictions. All food served in an elegant way. The public onsen was clean and pleasant actually i had it to myself. When using the outdoor they give you a special towel to cover yourself The private onsens also were clean nice and pleasant The shuttle bus to and from kagaonsen station very convenient Overall excelent

The staff spoke good english and were extemely helpful. The food included in the half board price served in private dining areas was amazingly well presented traditional Japanese food. That looked and tasted out of this world. Some of the best food we had on our trip to Japan and we stayed in several expensive Ryokan. Lovely private or public outdoor onsen or in a subterranean cave. The Noto peninsular is still recovering from the earthquake of Jan 2024 and the terrible flooding in Sept 2024 but a trip there is well worthwhile to see the scenery and see how well the repairs are progressing

Small and simple but packed with great qualities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is close to the park and market. The room is a good decent size and futon bedding was most comfortable. Rustic minimalist Japanese decor. Very charming place. Would stay here again for sure!

Incredible garden, maybe even better on our cloudy day with sprinkles occassionally. Several interesting museums. Fresh seafood, eat all you can every day. Compared to Tokyo and Kyoto it is a very relazed feeling city that you are unlikely to bump into anybody in a hurry while walking. The train station is busy like all, but near the castle park it is more peaceful. Beware the Omicho market closes at 5pm and 75% of the restaurants there close then too, check hours for those that remain open to a more normal hour.

The onsen was totally Japanese in style and attention to detail, very relaxing and with a staff dedicated to providing the best service. They were attentive and helpful. The forest near the onsen was beautiful for hiking and contemplating nature. Loved it. I will definitely return and to the same onsen.

The hotel was fantastic, evening and more than my team expected! We loved the traditional clothing and meals, especially dinner. The breakfast for most Americans is a little rough. The hot springs were EPIC and the swimming was just right. Thank you

The seaside accomodation was just as advertised.

The seaside accomodation was just as advertised. The host was helpful and a delight. She made sure we had a lovely 2 nights there. Rooms were well presented and large with amenities that were first rate. The glass manufacture workshop and the glass museum were well woth the trip. The glass gallery is world class and the architecture special and suited to its location. The aquarium was disappointing. Show was good but the maintenance of the facility needs work.

Enjoyed this laid back city, especially after coming out of Tokyo. The castle park was beautiful. Enjoyed the outdoor fish market. Didn't like the shopping mall across from it, especially the food vendors. In particular, one selling chicken right as you enter the market in the basement, who sold us gristle disguised as meat. Guess they think since we're tourists that that's ok. :/ The side streets with traditional streets/buildings/shops was great fun.
