- From US$584.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 38 reviewsThe staff spoke good english and were extemely helpful. The food included in the half board price served in private dining areas was amazingly well presented traditional Japanese food. That looked and tasted out of this world. Some of the best food we had on our trip to Japan and we stayed in several expensive Ryokan. Lovely private or public outdoor onsen or in a subterranean cave. The Noto peninsular is still recovering from the earthquake of Jan 2024 and the terrible flooding in Sept 2024 but a trip there is well worthwhile to see the scenery and see how well the repairs are progressingGuest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom
- From US$148.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 136 reviewsThis place was a big surprise almost at the end of our trip: you enter the lobby and some (paper) cherry blossoms fall down ... The very nice room had a view towards the river. The lobby has many features from sweets, to rice cakes, plenty of choices for a yukata (yes, big sizes, too!) and soft ice at night. The private baths are nice and need a prebooking upon arrival for the afternoon and evening. Should have stayed more than one night ...Guest review bySvenGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,882 reviewsA truly amazing place. The hotel is completely new. Japanese style but oh so modern! Great value, wonderful staff. We even had a small Japanese garden in our room! We loved Kanazawa in general - such an amazing yet not overly touristic place. There is an awesome market right next door where you can buy sashimi, chirashi sushi and wagyu need skewers that were divine.Guest review byJennyNetherlands
- From US$107.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 6,975 reviewsOne of the best hotels we've stayed in. The hotel has SPA and massage services. The room has quality branded amenities, the size of the bed is more than generous and hotel staff is really nice and helpful. The location is really central and around the hotel one can find a lot of restaurants and bars.Guest review byGabriela BzbRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,183 reviewsA great little hotel that we chose for two nights to try out the tatami room and visit Konroku-en, Omicho market and some of the museums. The hotel staff is very pleasant, they recommended us really excellent restaurants: Takasakiya Sushi and Kourin Sushi, which we wholeheartedly recommend.Guest review byEdinCroatia

Small, but perfectly formed.Fantastic boutique hotel in a brilliant location. We booked a superior family room, although there was just the two of us, knowing from previous trips to Japan that space is at a premium and for longer stays a bit more space makes a big difference. The breakfast, traditional Japanese style was one of the best we’ve ever had, simple delicious and beautifully presented. Last but not least the staff, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. They made our stay a memorable one.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 10.0

The onsen was totally Japanese in style and attention to detail, very relaxing and with a staff dedicated to providing the best service. They were attentive and helpful. The forest near the onsen was beautiful for hiking and contemplating nature. Loved it. I will definitely return and to the same onsen.Guest review bymouyiarisUnited States - 10.0

The hotel was fantastic, evening and more than my team expected! We loved the traditional clothing and meals, especially dinner. The breakfast for most Americans is a little rough. The hot springs were EPIC and the swimming was just right. Thank youGuest review byCoryGMAIL - 10.0
The seaside accomodation was just as advertised.
The seaside accomodation was just as advertised. The host was helpful and a delight. She made sure we had a lovely 2 nights there. Rooms were well presented and large with amenities that were first rate. The glass manufacture workshop and the glass museum were well woth the trip. The glass gallery is world class and the architecture special and suited to its location. The aquarium was disappointing. Show was good but the maintenance of the facility needs work.Guest review byJulie KAustralia - 10.0
Plenty of historic buildings and areas within the city.
Plenty of historic buildings and areas within the city. A great assortment of dining options. Including in and around Omicho Market. Well placed to explore the surrounding area (I chose to walk and use public transport, a hire car would have given even more options). A relaxed city. If you like running/jogging there are good options, especially riverside paths and a great parkrun at Saigawa Ryokuchi Koen.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

Kanazawa is a worthy location, however I expected it to be more visually interesting than it was. It is often compared as a "smaller" version of Kyoto. It may indeed be smaller, but Kyoto is far more diverse and beautiful.Guest review bymichaelUnited States
