The location is very good, the buffet-style breakfast offers a variety of food, and the customer service is excellent. The staff speaks multiple languages. We asked for a little something for our daughter, who was celebrating her birthday during our stay, and the hotel prepared a nice note with sweets and a souvenir.     Really good location. Just a 2 minute walk from Kyoto Station. 7eleven is across the road. Starbucks, McDonald’s and Burger King are around the corner (if you want a chain) A food hall is nearby. Check in is through a machine, usual in Japan. Service was great, the reception has luggage hold service. The rooms are great size for Japan, and have the usual amenities. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom is great. We also had breakfast and it is very good with so many options. Was a great stay, only downside is the 10am checkout, that is a bit too early.

    You can tell the age of the building from its look. But we have our best stay here during our trip. Great location, right across the road from the station. Great food. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, it’s so special and delicious, better than the high ranked restaurant we found nearby. Great view. You can literally stay in Ama-no-Hashidate. Quiet, private, without street light at night. The onsen is spacious and well maintained. Very comfy bed. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic location, inside the Kyoto Station, which helped a lot to move around everywhere. Even though, train station noise is not heard from the room, so sleeping and relaxing were fine. Staff is also incredible and helped us to forward our luggage and gave us tips about what to see around. Our stay at Granvia Kyoto was unforgettable, and we are already making plans to come back. Thanks everyone to make our vacation so special.

    Everything was amazing in the She, Kyoto. The Staff is really friendly, the room is small but really comfy and cozy. The amenities is the bathroom are the best part of a relaxing bath. And we can’t forget to mention the free ice cream. The breakfast is also really good. You will walk about 3~4 min from the kujo subway station.

    Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.

    The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.

    Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.

    Kyoto is a very beautiful City to visit. We enjoyed very much exploring Kyoto. Beautiful city with a lot of history. It is was very interesting to see places like ; Fushimi Inari , Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ginkakuji Shrine, go on Philosopher's Walk , Nanzen-ji, Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama , Arashiyama Bamboo Park plus many more places.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.

    I loved this hotel!!! The service was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The location was perfect - close to town but not in town. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Close to the train station as well. I will certainly stay here on my next trip to Kyoto.

    We loved Kyoto.

    We loved Kyoto. We loved the people and the food and the beauty. We started with an e-bike tour of the city which helped orient us to the landscape, history, and culture. Google maps had bus and train routes and times, which helped immensely with transportation. We took taxis a few times when bus service wasn't timely, and the fees were very reasonable. Kyoto was hot and humid, but dressing in free flowing, cotton clothes, using sun umbrellas like the locals, and drinking lots of water with electrolytes made life fairly comfortable. Our favorite outings were the river boat ride down the Hazugawa River, really fun and a chance to see some back country, and climbing up Mt Inari through the Thousand Torii Gates. We climbed in the late afternoon and returned down the steps in the twilight, a truly magical experience. Bring lots of water and plenty of energy. It's a long way up.
