Caroline is an amazing and hard-worked person. Everybody was so nice! The room was cleaned and well equipped. Lamu is so hot, so it's great to have a swimming pool!

Stunning Swahili architecture with a modern twist. Friendly and attentive staff. Afternoon coffee and cake on the rooftop was a highlight. Breakfast is delicious. Best hotel of our entire trip! And the rooftop ended up being one of our favourite places to be in Shella.

A perfect getaway spot for a demanding traveler. Steps for the immaculate sandy beach, action and numerous fine stores and dining, but offers a quiet refuge within its own compound in an appealing Swahili style, with a resident tortoise family. A convenient on-site rooftop restaurant with a bar and a nice breezy view of the ocean canal and boats. Excellent service with attention to detail. Tito and Bonnie deserve a special mention!!! Complimentary airport transfer on a boat. A convenient 20-minute boat ride (1000 KSh, or about US$8, each way) to the historic Lamu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I loved my time at Shela Bliss. The owner was so kind, always available to help, organized fun activities every day, and made amazing breakfasts with fresh juices every morning. Felt like staying with a friend! I was really impressed by how clean and well-kept the place was. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were all fresh and tidy-it made the stay so comfortable. Abdullah clearly takes pride in the place, and it shows! Would happily stay again.
