Our recent three-night honeymoon stay at the Secret Garden on Koh Rong island was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the hotel's location, facilities, staff, and cleanliness. Our flight from Siem Reap got delayed so that we lost the last ferry to Koh Rong, but the staff at Secret Garden went above and beyond to get us to the hotel by providing taxi and ferry after hours. The hotel is located on Pagoda beach, which was the perfect spot for us to relax and soak up the sun. We were also pleased to find that the hotel was conveniently located near the speedboat pier to Sihanoukville. The hotel rents out scooters, and we rented a scooter during our stay, which allowed us to explore the island more freely and at our own pace. One of the highlights of our stay was the deluxe beachfront room we booked. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered a stunning view of the ocean. The room was also impeccably clean, which we greatly appreciated. We also took advantage of the hotel's spa services, which were excellent. The spa was clean and tidy, and the treatments we received were incredibly relaxing. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and destress.

Check in was a little tedious because I arrived at their second building which houses the dining area and swimming pool. However, I was promptly karted off in their mini kart akin to a tuk tuk to the right building some 400m opposite. Some small issues with the creditcard machine but I was treated to some fruits and water while waiting. My room was a lot smaller that my previous hotel however acceptable. Multi chained TV, Minibar and hot drinks facilities. Excellent wifi..code free. Breakfast was good but perhaps less so if vegetarian…I wanted to order a vegetable soup but was informed that the broth was pork flavored! However, lunch or dinner on the seafront with sandy beach was truly bliss and prices reasonable. One could also pick up the wifi there. The staff were amazing welcoming and diligent. Lest I forget, if like me you like to continued working out while on holiday…a visit to their gym is a must. Fully equipped ( nearly as good as my home gym…and that’s saying something!!) with all the machines and some, even a punch bag, two water fountains, a sauna and a steam room. One is issued with towels at no cost on arrival at reception. At departure I was given a lift to the ferry port to get the boat to Kon Rong. Wonderful service!!

We had a wonderful holiday in this hotel! The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. We arrived a little earlier than check-in time, but our room was already ready and we didn’t have to wait. The hotel has a good restaurant, the food was delicious. Buffet breakfast included, quite varied. the hotel was quiet at night, no one made noise and you couldn’t hear music from the village as was the case in other hotels on the island. If you value a calm, even passive holiday, you will like it here.

It is a very nice, quiet island with beautiful beaches...

It is a very nice, quiet island with beautiful beaches Perfect just for relaxing! One can also rent a scooter or tuktuk to discover different places on the island. We loved the mangrove and Lily's riverside restaurant for lunch was a gem!

The sea water is perfectly clear, temperature is really nice. Beach sand is not really spectacular. Very friendly local people and many cute children. Excellent food options, so rich in flavour. In a few cases you can eat at ‘t local people’s houses. To go to the other side of the island, or to go to Koh Rong, you need a water taxi, as there are now roads. Available activities were: Snorkling, Jet ski, diving trips. Surroundings away from the main beach/ bay of M’Pay Bay are filled with garbage, plastic and abandoned constructions. It was sad to see so much garbage, especially plastic all around. Good thing about M’Pay Bay on Koh Rong Sanloem is that it gave us a very local feel which we really enjoyed. It’s a good place to enjoy, relax and rest.

If you can avoid this city, I would.

If you can avoid this city, I would. It's quite polluted with garbage. Obviously it's poor, and yet there are Chinese casinos popping up everywhere. It is just not a pretty place. I hope the Cambodian /government people can help the place up.

The best beach I've ever been to so far, really!

The best beach I've ever been to so far, really! I stayed on Koh Toch beach. It wasn't too crowded, and it wasn't too quiet either. Just the right quantity of super cool people. The sand was sooo white and clean. The sea was so clear and blue. To get around on the beach, you can easily walk while enjoying the cool breeze. If you wanna go a bit farther away, you can either rent a motorbike or take a tuktuk. I wish I could stay there for months, but time didnt forbid me. Highly recommended to visit this beauty!

If you like basic (very basic) peace and quiet, beautiful...

If you like basic (very basic) peace and quiet, beautiful sunrise and sunset, this is the place for you to relax. Boats do come in regularly a few in the weekday and more at weekends, but they usually go near the restaurant, so not too noisy. Host, Nak, is excellent and will help you with many things eg forward bookings, as remember there is no Wi-Fi. The food is adequate as to be expected on an island.

The breakfast was wonderful, but, unfortunately, there was only an a la carte service available on the last morning. The scenery was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a little bit of rubbish about, and there needs to be an improvement there. The chalets are quite close to each other, but, with a curfew, this need never be a problem. It would be nice to be able to open a window in the bedroom and use a fan rather than sleep with the air conditioning. The resort's swimming pool is quite enclosed, and isn't very inviting when the sun's not out, but there is access to another pool further up the hill, which has splendid views. It's a good place to walk around and get some exercise! Plenty of opportunities to stop off and get some refreshment too!

Koh rong would be the best place for those people to love...

Koh rong would be the best place for those people to love island life. Not only it has beautiful turquoise ocean but also most restaurants have flavorful foods there, especially the food at Koh rich. Don’t forget to rent a scooter to explore the island. Koh rong is beautiful as the other famous island in the world, but you can find it cheaper than those islands.

Koh Rong Sanloem is a lovely peaceful island.

Koh Rong Sanloem is a lovely peaceful island. We stayed at Island Center Point which was wonderful. The water is warm, we swam a few times, plus went kayaking. All very safe. There is a small shop in Saracen bay where you can buy essentials, plus there are a few places offering laundry facilities. You can also go hiking to other beaches or the lighthouse, bring plenty of water with you!

I've seen almost the whole world.

I've seen almost the whole world. I never imagined a coastal city could be so bad, filthy, and disgusting. The city is like a giant construction site, covered in dirt. Don't stay there if possible.

It’s a lovely island where you can get things to do but also...

It’s a lovely island where you can get things to do but also go to parts of the island where you are practically alone. It’s a gorgeous paradise island that still doesn’t feel overcrowded, so it as a more authentic feeling vs other very touristy islands. My favourite island in southeastasia for sure 💖
