They think about everything small details. Big and comfortable room. Bathroom with bath AND shower. In the room they have iron so you don’t lose time to call reception and bring you one. Free mini bar with juices, candy, peanuts and biscuits. Also coffee and tea (6 different flavors) from their plantation Damro (you can visit their huge plantation at Nuwara Eliya. They have shop in hotel where you can buy tea. White tea is around 50€ for 50g, black tea is around 8€ for 100g) In the room we got even hand sanitizer Swimming pool is great, it’s on last (10th floor) and you can enter only with your room key. They have 2 Jacuzzis with hot water and one with cold water. It’s open from 6am-11pm. Free city tour every day from 14:30-17:30. You go that day when you do check in or some other day during your stay. Tour is with minibus and guide and they bring you on 4 places in Colombo ( Nacional museum 40 minutes, Independence square 15 minutes, Gangaramaya temple 40 minutes (you can visit both- other one is on the lake, 1 minutes by walk, Gangarama Sima Malaka, just ask your guide to bring you there), Gale front 30 minutes). If you have time i recommend this tour. Hotel also has small shopping center with stores for souvenirs and clothes and few restaurants and bars

We had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams. We booked the suite, and the room was absolutely amazing with a great view. The service throughout our stay was excellent — friendly and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. The highlight for us was definitely the buffet restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were incredible! The food quality was top-notch — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even though I'm not usually a dessert person, I have to say the desserts were outstanding. The sushi was also very good! The kids club was fantastic and kept the little ones entertained. We also enjoyed the well-equipped gym, and the pool area is just stunning — amazing view and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a luxury experience in the city!

The staff was really kind (especially with our kid). The room was nice and clean. It was close to the beach and there are a lot of restaurants and a Cargill supermarket close to it. The staff helped us to organize our transfer to Willpattu. We enjoyed the roof pool. The breakfast was exceptional.

Very very nice hotel and very friendly staff throughout. Room was large with spectacular views on the 21st floor. Absolutely spotless. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. My check in took 10 minutes and was very efficient and super friendly. Don't understand the negative reviews others left. Also the breakfast was really good and I can't imagine what else some people could want for breakfast. There was literally everything you could want and all fresh and really yummy. As to the additional charges some people mention here: you have to check in your pricing details if taxes are included, this differs depending on the country you make the reservation from and other factors. If there's taxes already listed in the details you will not be charged additional taxes at check in. I paid exactly the amount booking.com showed me and in the details all taxes were listed already. Rooftop pool has beautiful views of the city. AC works perfectly. Free drinking water in the room and shower amenities. Reception is on 7th floor. There is heavy security at the entrance. Metal detectors, bags are xrayed... I would book here again. They seem to have smoking rooms, yet I requested a non smoking room and my room didn't smell at all.

Dehiwela is very multi cultural and many differant varieties...

Dehiwela is very multi cultural and many differant varieties of restaurants and clothing along hill street which we stayed. people were very nice and polite to us and we felt safe even at late hours. also walking along hill street is quite a visual experience and we have done a few food crawls (like pub crawl but for food! ) along hill street. I would recommend dehiwela as a yet undiscovered gem in sri lanka with its own personality.

Lovely town.

Lovely town. Sri Lankan government buildings are located in this town. Citizenship and Immigration, Visa and NIC offices are here. There is also the Diyawanna Lake with board walks, bicycle routes, Parks and walk ways, perfect sceneries. Easy to get around town just by walking. About 30 minutes drive from Colombo Port City and One Galle Face Mall. About 45 minutes drive from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

Rajagirya is not too much of a tourist destination, traffic...

Rajagirya is not too much of a tourist destination, traffic and roads are chaotic and walking is unpleasant if not dangerous. Walking in a wetland park nearby, observing monitor lizzards was relaxing. Getting around is by Tuk-tuk, which is not pleasant, uber rides in other vehicles were difficult for short rides.

After what this country has been through, this country surely need lots of financial assistance to redevelop its infrastructure. . There is hardly any lighting on the streets. As the sunsets it's pitch dark. I myself would find it difficult to drive on the roads. Secondly restrooms need to be built.

Great place to stay in Colombo area away from city centre...

Great place to stay in Colombo area away from city centre but close enough for easy access to city amenities, shops and restaurants. Lovely colonial era building full of charm. The terrace and pool area is unique - right on the ocean. Nothing quite like it in the Colombo area.

Unlike olden days, Colombo looks very clean and beautiful.

Unlike olden days, Colombo looks very clean and beautiful. Also noticed less honking on streets, though we still see ruthless behavior of bus drivers and other motorists not respecting road signs or rules. However, in few hours you will realize that is the norm and you will start enjoying it as a passenger. Excellent food and eateries with reasonable prices. You can easily Uber to any place within Colombo with much ease.
