Our experience at this property was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, as though we were guests in a home filled with warmth and charm. This place is unlike any other—a true oasis where you can completely immerse yourself in the vacation spirit. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed and curated, creating an environment that is both stylish and comfortable. The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

It was one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. The attention to every detail was truly remarkable. Relaxing in such an extraordinary place was far more than just a pleasure. We had an amazing time at Animals! We loved it here so much we doubled our stay because the place is just a dream. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "budget rooms" at first, which is just 10 seconds from the pool and dining area. Even though it's called a budget room, it's spacious & very well maintained and has a lovely garden, and the rooms have a large bathroom, a dressing and a terrace. The other days we spend in the double rooms in the main building which are like you're staying inside of a Pinterest moodboard. We got the privilege to meet the Swedish couple who owns the hotel & designed it into an absolute gem. They are just the best people, we talked for many hours & went surfing with them & learned so much about Swedish & Sri Lankan life during our talks. The breakfast included has so many options tot choose from and the coffees are actually the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you would be unfortunate that there is no room available in the hotel, do yourself a favour and come have lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed! Even though we travelled a lot and visited so much nice hotels & resorts, we never had the same experience like we had at Animals! The biggest thank you to Nalin, Samon, Anndala & Arvid for making us feel so welcome! ♥️

Such a warm welcome in Sisi’s Place, a family run hotel and it feels exactly like that.After the craziness of Colombo it was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast was amazing and so much of it that Sisi suggested we take the rest to our room to put in the fridge for lunch. It’s also very well situated, easy to walk to the shops, the beach and the restaurants. If you miss your train you’ve only got yourself to blame because it’s right on top of the station ! However, that’s what gives this particular location so much charm. There are literally restaurants on the side of the track, it really is something quite special. I would go back in a heartbeat. Also the beach is huge so you’re not at all on top of each other .

A fantastic place right by the ocean. The hotel staff, along with the hotel manager and the hotel's four-paw manager, made us feel right at home from the very moment our car pulled up to the entrance. We are very happy with the stay in The Waves Unawatuna. The staff was very, very nice and fullfiled our every single wish. The room is very nice and very close to the beach. The location is fantastic. We also hot better room than se ordered! The stay here is fantastic! If you want to relax on the beach or if you want to explore, The Waves is a pláče to stay!

We stayed 6 nights at this lovely hotel. There are only 6 rooms so it’s very peaceful. We had a room on the first floor with fabulous sea and beach views. All of the rooms have these views. The sunsets are amazing! The rooms, bathrooms and balconies are extremely spacious and very comfortable as well as spotlessly clean. The owner is Austrian which may account for the very high standards of fittings and no decor. The pool and gardens are lovely with plenty of du beds. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. It’s not it the town center but there are several beach restaurants within easy walking distance and it’s very easy and cheap to order a Tuk-Tuk via Uber, costing about €1,50 each way, to the town center. We very much recommend enjoyed our stay here and are quite certain that it is one of the nicest hotels in this area.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with a pristine pool. Friendly and responsive staff, delicious food. Good Wi-Fi, available in any part of the hotel. Wi-Fi was important to me, so I can confidently say that there are no connection issues here. The hotel offers yoga classes, which was a great additional perk for me. There are also other activities like ping pong, foosball, and more, and the staff is happy to join you for a game. I recommend this hotel for both leisure and business. I will definitely return here again.
