I stayed at Merzouga At this Camp and absolutely loved the camp. Beautiful, clean tents, great food, and very friendly staff. Stargazing and evening music by the fire were unforgettable. The only downside for me was the camel ride - it was uncomfortable and honestly very slow. Next time I would opt for a 4x4 or SUV instead. However, overall, it was a great desert experience!

Amazing night in the desert; the setting is undoubtedly fantastic—it is in the middle of the Sahara. Both the bathroom and the tent were very roomy. The campfire was really pleasant and provided good entertainment. There are other additional activities that are well worth the cost, including free sandboarding in the dunes. The meal was freshly made and the dinner was excellent. Bottled water was also provided. Very tasty breakfast with lots of fresh options as well. The personnel was courteous and the experience was positive. 100 percent, I would return

The property looks amazing and is at a top location in the desert. It’s quiet, has beautiful decoration and the smell is great. Hassan and Mouha did everything to make our stay great. We were warmly welcomed and they cooked traditional Moroccan food for us (a lot of food!). They also arranged a sunset quad tour and sunrise excursion with camels. It was all seamless! Thank you Hassan and Mouha!

Kanz Erremal, Merzouga – A Tranquil Desert Retreat Nestled in the heart of the Sahara, Kanz Erremal is a hidden oasis where time slows down and life’s noise fades away. Located in Merzouga, this charming hotel combines the magic of the desert with the warmth of authentic Moroccan hospitality. The rooms, elegantly adorned with traditional Berber decor, offer a peaceful sanctuary, bathed in the golden light of the desert each morning. The staff are more than just hosts—they treat you like family, sharing stories of the land, and making every moment feel special. Indulge in the delicious local cuisine, from savory tagines to freshly baked bread, all served with the love and care of the desert people. As the day gives way to night, the silence of the desert invites reflection and peace. Lie beneath a sky full of stars, feel the pulse of the universe, and hear the rhythm of your own heartbeat in the stillness. Kanz Erremal isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to truly be. A refuge where you can disconnect from the world and find harmony in the beauty of the desert. Come for the tranquility, stay for the memories. And the people who work there, they do it so pure and with so much love , they are able to organise everything for you , and give you the service that you needed. I can’t wait to go back to this place. But then I will stay much longer, felt like coming home

We had a nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. It’s conveniently located near minimarkets, which was great for quick purchases. A particularly nice touch was the presence of a sandbox/play area for kids—it made it easier to relax while the little ones had fun. The property has good features like a dual shower and dryer, although the bathroom space was a bit tight. There were also a few ants near the entrance, which could be improved. Still, the positives outweighed the small issues, and we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly setup. Would recommend for families looking for a practical and comfortable stay.

Very nice, typical hotel, personalized welcome. Outdoor parking on site. Relaxing atmosphere. Very pleasant pool with an exceptional view of the dunes. Second pool heated to 32 degrees and clean... wow it's wonderful to swim there in the evening with a starry sky. The food is delicious. Beer and wine at a reasonable price. Extraordinary, helpful and supportive staff. A detour is essential to discover this wonderful place, located at the gateway to the desert. One of the best places to explore the dunes. Asphalt road to the Riad.

We really loved our stay at sahara desert luxury camp. We went there by camel, lovely ride during the afternoon. We were warmly welcomed in the camp. The tents were warm due to the heating in the tent. We stayed two nights what i really recommend to fully enjoy the desert experience. We did a quad ride, booked via the camp (the quads come to the camp where you start) and sandboarding (boards available for free in the camp). Delicious food, lovely lunch spot on top of a dune. Would 100% recommend this luxury desert camp.

Peculiar European style roof houses for sliding the melted ice, calm, quiet and very comfortable hotels available, especially I highly recommend MICHLIFEN RESORT. Hotel staff was very obedient, punctual. Hotel surrounding, forest tour by walk.. Deep inside, a visit to a small lake for a short picnic, smaller town comparatively and a short centre ville visit are special moments in 4 days visit. A retirement town. I breathed most clean air in the whole of my life. Very clean town.. I always used to rate some rural area of Sub Saharan Africa as the best for good air quality but now my new option is IFRANE of this beautiful country "MOROCCO".

Not much happening in this town.

Not much happening in this town. Hard to find good restaurants. Most places seem to serve fast food. Probably the biggest draw is the proximity to Ifrane National Park and the famous Barbary macaques. They are easily spotted on the road N13 leading into town mainly because people like to feed them there so there are plenty to see.

Midelt was an interesting town/city. There is lots to explore there. We enjoyed wandering around the souk. Sitting at the foot of the mountains it is quite beautiful in the changing light. Midelt feels that it is well looked after and maintained compared to other cities and towns we have visited in Morocco.

I stayed at this luxury camp on December 17 and really enjoyed my experience. Everything was very well organized, and the team took care of all the activities, including the camel ride, 4x4 jeep transfer, quad bikes, sandboarding, and music around the campfire under the starry desert sky. I truly felt that I made the most of my time in the desert. The staff were very kind and attentive, especially Rachid and Mohamed. The food was hearty and delicious — I did not expect to enjoy such good food in the desert, including tagine, salad, and hot harira. The camel ride at sunset was unforgettable, and waking up for sunrise with a cup of coffee overlooking the Sahara Desert was the highlight of my overnight stay. The tents were very clean and spacious, with a private bathroom, shower, and comfortable bed. I highly recommend this camp and would happily return again

Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient.
