Veranda Palamar Beach Hotel is the best choice in terms of value for money on the whole island of Mauritius. Nice and clean room, lovely yard, amazing beach, very tasty food and outstanding staff. I don't know the basis of some negative reviews about this hotel. If they want more luxury, they should go to the more expensive neighboring Lux Belle Mare, but there the price is completely different. And I'm not sure they'll get that much more. In Veranda you have the feeling of calmness, security and an almost homely atmosphere, which is missing in big hotels. Thank you dear people for our wonderful holiday.

    Our stay in this hotel was perfect from the very beginning. As we arrived the stuff welcomed us very friendly, we got an delicious welcome-drink. The hotel and it’s area are great, with charm, super concept. rooms are spacious and nice with some suprises :) they are daily cleaned (actually twice a day), house-keeping team is helpfull and friendly. Restaurant, library with multi-languague books, albums and some games, little butique - everything lovely. The view is so beautiful, you can enjoy your meals in restaurant and adore the ocean-view. Beach ist quiet, the hotel offers some free attractions (kayak, SUB-board, snorkeling, glassboat) - the guys in a stuff are always helpful :) Restaurant ist special, menu is so delicious, we loved a food! But! What makes it so special? Stuff. You feel like you spend time with your best friends, Team is so warm, always smiling! Thank you for this special time - Sanjay, Med, Vidusha, Sarika, Bhishay, Rajiv, Kheertee and all Others. You were all amazing, you made our stay in Mauritius special.     Exceptional place, you feel as if in a luxury botanical garden. The room (Junior Suite) and all the facilities were impeccable. The service too, food really good except for the Trattoria pizza - I prefer the Roman style (thin and crunchy) and this one was thick and really heave in the stomach. It was nice to have the shuttle to Île aux Cerfs where Anahita has the best beach on the Island. Swimming in the sea was possible on Île aux Cerfs (even if no marine life) but at the mainland beach. Golf clubs at the Resort and Île aux Cerfs are amazing.

    We loved our stay at Friday Attitude and would definitely recommend it. We would love to return if we ever come back to Mauritius. Location was good and the hotel facilities were amazing. The food was delicious, tropical gardens were beautiful, pool area was great. We loved the beach bar and the beach itself. We also tried one of the massages at the SPA and it was the best massage I have ever had. We also took up the offer to visit Ile aux Cerfs for no additional fee and it turned out to be a fantastic trip.

    This accommodation was very perfect. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony was simply stunning. You could see the ocean and the surrounding area was very calm. In the outdoor area you can find a pool and you have a direct access to the river. It is a pleasure to stay there! In addition, the staff was very hospitable. You can order home-cooked dinner for a reasonable price. I can recommend this place!

    This is one of the place where look bettter in life than on photo. HOTEL IS AMAIZING all staff so friendly room clean many times - all is perfect (I wish only that my 2,5 year old baby can attend to a miniclub with his older brother- and not close the dore for him)

    La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

    Our stay at the Bubble Lodge Resort for 2 nights (Lake & sea view Bubble). Mukesh and Nevin where my favourite staff and made our stay extra special to us - we felt very much welcomed: they are outstanding naturally nice. Great employees, great service! We will love to come back some other time :)

    Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather than a place to stay. It’s a nice place to see and stop to take pictures as you drive through but not really a place to stay for any length of time except maybe one night. The name sounds like there should a beach here but there is not.

    A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

    My wife and I were stopping over in Mauritius on route to...

    My wife and I were stopping over in Mauritius on route to Perth, Australia. We booked for three nights but could only stay for one night as Air Mauritius rescheduled our connecting flight for two days earlier, so we only had the one night. We only managed to do a short drive around the following morning and the local area was very quite with only a couple of large resorts nearby and one small supermarket. We did not get to visit the nearby large market in Central Flacq. The drive from the airport was aproximately 1 hour 15 minutes. We then had to drive back the following evening to the airport. Night driving in Mauritius was difficult and slow going so for a one night stay it is not worth it. This part of the island (East) is also very windy, although we found it a warm wind so it was not to bad, even by the pool. The complex is good for a quiet few days or week, but not suitable for those who like a lot going on nearby.

    A very nice place to stay right on the beach. Had half board the food was good. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly. Tours were reasonable priced. Hotel was a very affordable and good value for money.

    The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.
