Our stay went extremely smoothly in this hotel. The location was great, the room was spacious and very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. We appreciated it a lot for cooking some vegan food for us outside the standard Menu. The manager of the hotel was absolutely nice and helpful with all the information - she was always in the front row to help us.

Areef was super helpful with everything and he made sure everything was perfect. Rooms and everything looked exactly like in the photos and everything is in good condition including the shower AC and everything else. I only wanted to eat passionfruit and watermelon in the mornings because I went diving everyday early in the morning and had to leave around 6.50. I extended my stay here by 2 more nights and I would definitely recommend going here, even though it's not the cheapest on the island, you will get the quality in return.

This hotel felt like a home away from home. The guesthouse had a relaxing atmosphere The staff were fantastic. Great attitude. Helpful and always available. The bed was super comfy. Room is very clean. Tea and coffee available 24 hours. Veligandu is the best hotel we have ever been and we have traveled a lot and been to Maldives several times. We had been here 9 years ago and it is still amazing. We have stayed in the Sunset Jacuzzi Beach Villas. They are more expensive but it is worth every cent. The snorkeling is amazing. In the sunset part you can see all kinds of fish species including several sharks. On the sunrise part from the pole through all the floats you can see an amazing shark and turtles. I have "lived" 45 min with a turtle. What an experience. The food is out of this world. The only thing they could get better is to have a coffee machine for cappuccino and expresso at Breakfast. No need to bring shoes. Everyone goes around bare foot. The sunset is just amazing and being in the water until there is the moon and stars in the sky is gorgeous. The Gala Dinner at Christmas is very worth it and a true experience. We all ate at the beach, feet in the sand, stars above you... what can you ask for more? The staff is0 very attentive and kind. Always willing to help and give us the best time possible. Our room attendant, Ashad, always kept our room pristine and every now and again included a amazing leaf art on our bed. As we were returning clients, they were really appreciative of that and went the extra mile with gifts.

The reception was wonderful, paying attention to all the details and making sure we were comfortable. Our reception upon entering the island was nice, and the honeymoon preparations at the villa were beautiful. The cleaning service was always excellent and very satisfactory. The other special thing was the restaurant. In the beginning, the restaurant staff were wonderful without exception, very nice and always with a smile on their faces despite their tiring work. As for the food, it was more than wonderful. At breakfast there was always a great variety of dishes available, and the dishes were also delicious. For lunch and dinner you always find a great variety, different types of dishes, different meats and other things that I did not expect, a very large buffet, to the point that you cannot try everything, every day the buffet is different and the dishes change, the corner for making pastas, hamburgers, barbecues and other things that they cook in front of Your eyes were so special and delicious. In addition to daily offers and various beautiful activities. Honestly, I need to write several pages to describe how wonderful it was to spend a honeymoon there, but overall everything was wonderful and beyond expectations.

This is our third vacation in the Maldives and we chose Lily, this reaort has raised the bar for Maldives resorts, it is exceptional! Choose All inclusive package and enjoy the whole island. Over water villa was super beautiful and spacious. Swimming in the sea is incredibly beautiful there are many fish and coral life and the water is crystal clear! All restaurants are great and has tasty food also bars. Kids club has wide range of activities and kids can stay in the club without their parents. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Staff were good, nice view, i like the activity there, you can request a jet ski and other sea activities but a little expensive, you can go to another local island but its more expensive 40$++ each person and its not worth it tbh because it is quite no activities and only three shops. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

Great Island, plenty to do and good snorkelling straight off Villa. Food, people and facilitiies were great - cannot fault. Deluxe water villas were a bit tired and really need a refurbishment - other than that great time in Kuramathi...

It is a small enough island to walk around.

It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello. There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food. There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists. We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there We absolutely recommend

A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

The jetty area offers a fantastic viewpoint for spotting nurse sharks, and the island is ideal for snorkeling with vibrant marine life. It's conveniently located not too far from Male' city, and nearby sandbanks add to the charm. The island also offers exciting excursions and diving trips, making it a perfect destination for adventure and relaxation.
