We came to Hotel Playa Laguna Front to unplug, relax, and enjoy the lagoon -- and that's exactly what we did for 5 days. The hotel is in a prime location, sitting at perhaps the most colorful, swimmer-friendly part of the lagoon. You can tell it's a prime spot because a lot of boat tours end around this area to let people swim in the lighter waters there near the cenote. It's also only a couple kms from the town center, so you can easily get into town while still having enough distance from the more touristy center. The hotel itself isn't a fancy upscale place, but that's not what we were looking for. Nonetheless the hotel is new and the facilities are clean/modern with great bathrooms. The hotel is run by a lovely team who were really accommodating...big thanks to the manager Evaristo for always being there to help with any questions. Another great thing is that the kayaks and sup-boards are free to use from 6am to 6pm. The only day you can't use them is on Wednesday when no water activities (other than swimming) are allowed across the lagoon. Wednesdays are conservation days, with inactivity allowing the lagoon to restore itself.

Super good location, not in the city center but at walking distance if you like walking and only 5 min drive if you have a car. The access to the lagoon is perfect as it's towards the end of the lagoon, quite close to the Cocalitos cenote but not on the Cenote so the water is clear and shallow. Free kayak that's amazing, you can cross to the Birds Isle. Breakfast is correct for such a small hotel. Hotel with only a few rooms so it's not crowded and atmosphere is super relax. Lovely reception staff, friendly, smiling. Cocktails are nice and affordable. I had passion fruit margarita. Food is nice and affordable. We tried camarones it was delicious.

Absolutely lovely place with such kind and lovely owners. It was very homely and comfortable, while not feeling like we were in somebody else's space. We loved that there was a stove, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine in the communal area. It felt a bit like a hostel, except that the crowd was very mixed in age and also included families. We stayed in Mexico for four weeks and this was our favourite place.

Great location if you want a quiet area. Fantastic recommendation for a restaurant nearby which we visited 3 times We borrowed the kayaks which are free and went for a paddle. The staff were all very friendly. Easy parking outside the door

Just stunning - an absolute gem just on the outskirts of Bacalar town. Gorgeous place, attentive staff, a haven for relaxation. Be sure to be driving / take a taxi if you want to go to town, however not problematic at all. Room service has no surcharge, which really encourages you to use it - and the dishes are delicious. Picturesque.

The lagoon ! Unmatched blues! Spending the day in the water paddle boating was one of our best memories of recent times. Also the food was second to none. Coming from NYC our standards are pretty high but Siete did not disappoint. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The spa is a must visit

Lovely hotel. The staff were exceptional, clear guide on the area and what they offer. Complimentary push bikes. Lovely pool area. Restaurant was very good for lunch and dinner and only 5 mins from main square. Owner spoke to us every morning.
