The rooftop restaurant!!! It was AMAZING! I booked a room with breakfast included, which I recommend. When you check in they put a band on your arm which signifies you get the free breakfast. Eat all you want:) The breakfast was fantastic, and the view from the open air rooftop restaurant makes it spectacular. The service was quick and the food was delicious! I had a hamburger that was the best one I've eaten in a long time. The hotel is new, clean, and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was bigger than I anticipated. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. For the money, this is by far the best hotel I've booked in many years!

I had an excellent stay at Viajero Hostel and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff, especially Jasmine, made me feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a comfortable lounge area, well-equipped kitchens, or cozy dorms, Viajero has it all. This place is perfect for travelers seeking a welcoming atmosphere and great amenities. If you're planning a trip, I highly recommend Viajero Hostel for an unforgettable stay!

I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about my 5-night stay at Ximena and will stay here every time I visit Sayulita moving forward. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and everything about the room was 5 stars (comfortable bed and bedding, private porch, shower). The beaches, all the restaurants, and the center square are a max 3-block walk, making this the perfect location to escape from the noise and party in town.

Our honeymoon at Hard Rock Hotel Puerto Vallarta was nothing short of exceptional — we were truly treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, respectful, and incredibly accommodating. Our room was stunning, and the thoughtful touches made it even more special — from the beautifully decorated door to the surprise newlywed goodies (chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of wine) waiting for us inside. The included airport transportation made everything effortless from start to finish. The entertainment staff were phenomenal — so talented, fun, and engaging! The evening shows are an absolute must-see and added so much excitement to our stay. For dining, we fell in love with Restaurant Ciao and the Market for breakfasts, and we were offered a dinner reservation at Umo, which was fantastic — a must-try for anyone visiting. On our final night, the resort arranged a private honeymoon dinner that was truly unforgettable. The chef personally came to our table for each course, they provided a curated set menu with a bottle of champagne, and they were incredibly attentive to my food allergies. It was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had anywhere. Every detail of our stay was handled with care and thoughtfulness. From the service to the entertainment to the food, everything exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta enough and absolutely can’t wait to return!

I enjoyed a lot the food in this hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was located in the 4th tower which you can tell everything is new, AC, big bathroom with bath tub. Restaurant on the roof with swimming pool and on the main floor there’s another restaurant along with the bar and live music. The taxis are right in front of the hotel as well as the public transportation. Very convenient. Also has an ATM

It's a very walkable town, but there are plenty of golf carts to rent if you want to move around quicker. Everyone speaks English, so if your Spanish is rusty, it won't matter a bit. The food in every restaurant I went to was good value and great taste, i didn't have a bad meal in sayulita.

We met many pleasant local people at hotel, restaurants and on our walk around Centro. Even invited by a couple to stay in their guest house in the future. We have been coming to the Puerto Vallarta area for over 30 years. This area north of PV has gone through many changes and now has come to the south end of Bucerias. We were very impressed with the standard of care that is being done with the improvements to the area. Many new condo building, but not to the point of overcrowding. Great improvements to the streets. Many new restaurant that exceeded our expectations. An area that we will come back to again.

Rincon is not for everyone. It is not in the least upscale.

Rincon is not for everyone. It is not in the least upscale. Most North American tourist were more than 60 years old. You will not make 'young' friends here. Almost everyone, including me, have been coming to Rincon for many years. It is a truly Mexican, beach town with many very comfortable, long stay hotels, most with kitchen option. The people of Rincon are exceptionally friendly in a authentic way. There are many other small beach town North and Soth of Rincon. When driving you will experience a lot of down and out poverty. Much un-controlled developement. Many areas are as bad as anything you will experience in Africa. But, I felt 100 % safe my 30 day stay there.

We like Playa San Pancho as it's a quiet small beach community. we heard some of the locals call it the hippy town. Sayulita was a little too busy/crowded for us. San Pancho was just right. my husband loved riding the waves (body surfing), there were also some surfers farther down the beach. We loved the restaurants that had tables and lounge chairs on the beach so you could sit and relax, order food/drinks and just chill. We stayed in PV for a month and came to San Pancho 3 times.

There was a large accumulation of garbage on every strret corner and everywhere you looked. The garbage trucks did come round on a regular basis but didnt collect any that had been dumped elsewhere. The Malecon had been a beautiful place but was full of drunks and druggies all the time, sleeping on the benches day and night. There was not one chair or restaurant anywhere on the beach in that whole area for you to sit and enjoy the ocean view. the road in front of the Malecon was flooded the whole 3 weeks we were there with sewerage smelling water . Lots of abandoned dogs needing help and in very poor shape which really upset me. Would never go there again, it was far from an enjoyable experience.
