Loved everything about this property! Staff is so attentive and helpful, manager Mokhtar with his staff was an absolute gem. We had a late flight and staff helped us get a later check out for 60RM which was very generous fee. Loved everything and pool is 10/10 it has sun all day

The room was lovely. The bed incredibly comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean with a huge shower. The decor and feel of the whole hotel were fabulous. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The restaurant served wonderful food cooked fresh and presented beautifully and it all tasted as good as it looked. A huge choice was offered at breakfast. All fabulous quality. We enjoyed the rooftop pool. The views were amazing and there were lots of sunbeds.

Amazing owner and staff that really genuinely want you to have an amazing stay. So serviceminded and nice. With much knowledge to share about the island, were to eat, se and visit. Staff was very friendly and the owner was very hospitable. My kids were using the pool in the evening, the owner came out to light mosquito incense for us as we waited by the poolside. Beds were comfy. There is a common area where you can dine and relax. Also some games to entertain kids.

A Tropical Jewel

Langkawi, as known as the jewel of Kedah, is the largest island in an archipelagio of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea. And a gem it certainly is, with lush scenery ranging from rice fields and rainforests to leaning palms on tropical beaches.

Of course, it’s the beaches that draw most visitors. Housing a good number of Langkawi hotels, Patai Cenang has the longest and most developed beach, and good nightlife. Neighbouring Pantai Tengah is more peaceful and a popular choice for families.

Langkawi Airport in the west is closest to Padang Matsirat. Just around the coast is the more secluded Burau Bay. The Telaga Tujuh waterfalls are nearby, and just north of its curving beach is the Langkawi Cable Car which travels into the heart of the rainforest, where the Sky Bridge provides amazing views.

Another sleepy beach is the northern Jalan Datai, home to a crocodile park. To the west Tanjung Rhu has one of the most scenic beaches, with bulbous, offshore islands reminiscent of many an action movie.

On the south of this duty-free island is the capital Kuah, whose most recognisable feature is the large eagle statue overlooking its harbour towards the islands beyond. This town has the largest concentration of apartments, motels and hotels in Langkawi on Booking.com.

The resort is nestled in the rainforest, the suite is spacious and comfy, equipped with all amenities necessary. We could watch from a safe distance monkeys, lizards and geckos from our suite. It is immaculately clean and mosquito repellent is provided every day. What makes the experience truly special is the fantastic staff at Ambong Ambong. Eliana, Nizal and Ali are super kind and friendly, eager to make you feel welcome and at home. The resort has two restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - Indulge in vegan food at Pegaga or watch the sunset from Rimba restaurant. Food is spectacular, fresh and flavoursome, lots of local dishes to try. The beach is just a 5-min walk across the road.

Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.

You have the cable cars and surrounding area that takes a day to Explore and the crocodile park which is really good. Water falls and beaches. I would recommend staying at least 3 nights at this end of the island and 3 at the opposite end in kuha. Make sure to do the mangrove tour with a private boat haggle price.

Beautiful beach and mangroves. We did hte Mangrove ride and island hopping. Not easy to get around, its remote and on the northern most tip of the island, should have own vehicle. Not many restaurants around the area, only resorts.

Pantai Cenang is a really happening place with lots of things to see and buy and lovely eating places as well. Just be prepared during the rainy season as the rain can come suddenly but it doesn't stay long so just find shelter somewhere and you'll be fine.

Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Lock on the balcony door didn't work and neither did the lock on bedroom 1 window. Also, it took a couple of days for the wi-fi to work correctly.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The Thai Restaurant was amazing - getting to the Sky Cab was just walking distance, that's worth a visit. I did a Mangrove Tour which was pretty good... I went on my own but a group tour might have been just as good.

Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset.

Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset. But lots of it is privat and your only allowed to walk along the shore in these parts, which is kinda sad and stupid as you wouldnt disturb anyone by staying there. but the public places are great too so not too much of a let down.
