Idyllic setting just across the road from a small lakeside beach . Comfortable rooms , great Breakfast and 1 minute walk from a supermarket which is open 18 hours a day. Marlon the owner is a gentleman, nothing is too much trouble and I will always treasure memories of having a beer and watching the World Series with him in the bar.

Such a beautiful, colourful, artsy space. Lots of outdoor space to relax in hammocks and chairs, and outdoor space to do a workout or yoga if you wanted. Nicely equipped kitchen, and it was nice to see separation of organic food waste and non organic waste. They offer breakfast that you need to order the day before. Very reasonably priced for the quantity (we had a huge omelette with toast for 95 cordoba - roughly $2.50) They offer a locked outdoor parking space for bikes etc They had 24h reception I believe. Staff was super lovely and very willing to answer questions and have conversations. We really enjoyed talking with Hani!

10/10 - Detailed review below (good for newcomers to Ometepe): Location: If this is your first time in Ometepe, look no further. The island is a lot bigger than you’d think and unless you intend on constantly riding around the island a long distance for food or activities, the location of your stay is extremely important. The location of El Encanto is perfect, within walking distance to one of few major supermarkets on the island, in addition to some of the best restaurants on the island. Rooms: We stayed in the Deluxe Room and we are soooo happy that we did. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and most importantly, had an Air Con (if you struggle to fall asleep in the heat like I do, Ometepe will test you unless your accomodation has an Air Con). Another amazing thing about the rooms was that it was bug proof!! Again, this is of course an island and there are A LOT of insects. At the end of the day, it felt like our room was a safe haven from all the insects because the rooms are very well constructed and keep them out. Staff: The staff were incredible. We truely felt like we were being looked after and thought of the entire time. The owner and Danny were really kind. View: If you end up staying here, do yourself the favour and grab a morning coffee in their restaurant and enjoy one of the best views on the island.

This hotel was fabulous. We stayed twice and had two rooms, so we actually saw 4 separate rooms. All of them were really high standard. I don’t think the photographs do this hotel justice. It is stunning. The location and a really central and the staff are lovely. I would love to come back and of course it was exceptional value for money

The garden area was lovely, lots of seating options and beautiful flowers. Very peaceful. The room was a good size and bathroom was clean. Coffee and drinking water was available, as well as a small kitchen area to use. Also able to hire a scooter through them.

Everything was perfect especially the owner was very friendly and kind. We enjoyed our stay there a lot. The breakfast was great, fresh and local food.
