- From US$287.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 961 reviewsWe spent three nights at De Zanding and spent New Year's Eve there. We were one of the few who arrived there without our own car, so perhaps the review will be a bit specific. Actually - the first plus is the accessibility of arriving by public transportation. The stop of the 105th bus is right next to the recreation center. 25 minutes from the station Arnhem and you are there. The territory is large, beautifully decorated, check-in was without problems. We received a package with keys right at the bridge. Please note that when ordering a set of linen, it does not include towels (but there is a separate towel package for an extra charge), so take them with you if you need them. Enjoyed the free and fast internet in the house. The house was warm, you can always adjust the comfortable temperature yourself. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. A huge plus (especially in rainy weather) is the pool and wellness area with 4 excellent saunas. Private wellness access must be booked for an extra fee in advance on the De Zanding website. The price is affordable. There is access to the pool from the wellness area.Guest review byDMITRIIGermany

Nice clean town, plenty of places to eat and drink.
Nice clean town, plenty of places to eat and drink. The bridge museum is small but interesting. There wasn't much else to do that appealed to us, but we walked to Oosterbeek to see the annual celebrations. I beleive there is a zoo and a few other things but we didn't look for them.Guest review byJoUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A lovely, vibrant city, full of youth and optimism, with good selection of bars and restuarants. Some off the beaten track and some very traditional. It is a university city so always a young outlook in its shops, cafes, buildings and life.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Apeldoorn is a lovely town with a good selection of quality shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous meal there but our hotel was a bad choice and left us very deflated and unsatisfied. I would visit Apeldoorn and Zeist again though as they were very niceGuest review byMurri LittleUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Located in the heart of the Netherlands, Putten is a picturesque gem that offers a delightful blend of historical charm and natural beauty. This tranquil town, with its traditional Dutch architecture and lush green surroundings, provided an authentic and serene Dutch experience. Putten's intimate size and welcoming atmosphere made navigating the town a breeze. With friendly locals always ready to help, we never felt like strangers. The town's quaint shops and restaurants added a unique, rustic charm to our visit, offering a delightful array of local goods and cuisine. The real treasure of Putten, though, lies in its natural beauty. The town is surrounded by lush forests, serene farmlands, and velvety pastures that provided a refreshing break from the city's hustle and bustle. Whether we were exploring the beautiful trails or simply enjoying the views, the stunning landscapes never ceased to impress. One of the highlights of our trip was the city bikes provided at our chalet. They allowed us to explore Putten and its surroundings in a fun and environmentally friendly way. This gave us a new perspective on the town and its scenic surroundings, making our stay even more memorable. In terms of history and culture, Putten didn't disappoint. The Old Church in the center of the town is a must-visit. Its beautiful architecture and serene ambiance made for a worthwhile experience. The town's history, particularly its WWII heritage, added a significant depth to our visit, evoking a sense of reverence and appreciation.Guest review byNourGermany - 8.0

The property is very near the lake, so if you’re into fishing, Keet is your man - he has a wealth of knowledge about fishing in the area and is willing to freely share it with you. You are also within and easy bicycle ride to town so shopping is nearby. Ingrid has some lovely homemade jams for sale too - good on warm toast!!Guest review byBarry MossUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The young staff at the hotel were excellent. There was a large free hotel car park. The dinner was good with ample portions depending on choice of food. At the time Lunteren was suffering from extensive road works making navigation difficult.Guest review byEdwardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

For me it was worth visitting Nijmegen because I was going to meet with friends there. However, I was impressed by the Vierdaagsefeest. It ended up being very fun and the city is quite nice and cozy. So yeah, I had an amazing time in Nijmegen, but maybe if you don't have acquaintances there it's not a must-visit city.Guest review byLeonardoGermany
