- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 684 reviewsWe recently stayed two nights here and had a fantastic experience. The staff are all highly friendly, courteous, and hospitable. Initially, we could not make it all the way to the hotel in our car as the road leading to the hotel was closed due to severe rainstorms in the days leading up to our stay. Nonetheless, the hotel sent out staff members to meet us at a pick up point and drive us to the hotel. They also had staff drive us to the ferry in Gjendesheim to catch the first morning ferry to Besseggen. We absolutely would not have made it to our incredible hike at Besseggen if they were not willing to be so accommodating to us. They even had staff drive us back to our car once our stay was over! The dinner at the hotel was wonderful, and my friend and I especially loved their selection of local beers and aquavit. All in all, if you are hiking Besseggen or embarking on other adventures in Jotunheimen National Park, I could not recommend Bessheim Fjellstue og Hytter highly enough!Guest review byDavidUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 49 reviewsThe hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!Guest review byRobertSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 142 reviewsThis is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.Guest review byrodmcbanItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 172 reviewsA beautiful location with splendid views. Staff ( 1 person, plus cook ??) was extremely informative and helpful. The beef we had at dinner was superb and tasted even better with the suggested Italian wine. The surrounding area was probably the favorite of our two Norway week trip, especially with the perfect weather we had. Splendid/Tusen takk- Jotunheimen FellstueGuest review byyokatCanada

We drove along the bottom road and then hiked to the Feigefossen waterfall. We'll worth it, walking boots are required as rocky and uneven path. The supermarket is easily walked to, Mango IPA, a real treat for my partner, not had previously and apparently delicious 😋Guest review byJennyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I went to Norway to enjoy nature in all its manifestations - I fulfilled it! Rich forests, beautiful waterfalls, tourist centers with information, snow-capped mountains in all seasons are within a day's drive.Guest review byAinaLatvia - 8.0
Beautiful location and stunning view.
Beautiful location and stunning view. Good kitchen facilities and barbecue. Well furnished. Gorgeous garden and green house. Lovely hosts. Pool could have been a couple of degrees warmer. The showers flooding the shower room was annoying. Not much hot water. But overall, a lovely stay. We would stay again.Guest review byZohreh Erica
