The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged free transport from Kathmandu airport. They also allowed us to check in very early as we arrived on an early morning flight. The hotel was very central to the Thamel area but was very quiet as it is located on a side street off a side street.There was a good choice at the breakfast buffet and they provided a packed breakfast on the morning we were leaving.

Nice clean Hotel in Thamel with all the Trekkers Shops, Money Changers and Restaurants around. The Hotel pick-up as well the staff is great.👍😍We had a great warm welcome at the Reception from Lady Laxmi which showed us also the room. The Owner or Manager was also very helpful with organizing trips or information. Food we also can recommend. At the Looby or the Roof Top Restaurant...the male staff was amazing friendly and served us like kings..thanks to ALL of them. Wifi & TV is also working...we stayed before EBC TREK and afterwards each time 4nights and we come back again in September 2024👍😍..René and Liz at IG: @renepeter57

Wow. I had booked my parents stay here for two days. They were amazed by the hotel and the room they got. They loved the fact it was a heritage hotel with history. The staff were super helpful and helped arrange for tour guide who was knowledgeable and patient throughout their tour. The friendly staff, clean rooms and the beautiful gardens made their stay in Kathmandu so special. The breakfast was excellent as well.

EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE! Our room was upgraded to premium delux. The manager UMESH KHADKA provided us with everything we needed, from greeting to staying in the hotel. The food is fantastic, as are the facilities. The staff is quite courteous. They do follow up on whatever you want, if it is completed or not. The view and the location are both fantastic places to stay for a peaceful and memorable visit.

The guesthouse totally outwent my expectations. The stuff is friendly and works good and fast (Restaurant). The Restaurant has healthy good and pricy food. There is a SPA, hairdresser, Yogaclasses and an art museum on the other side of the building. The rooms were so clean and very quite - even by being in the middle of Kathmandu! Also there is a lovely inner courtyard!

The rooftop has lovely views and the garden terrace is perfect for a very delicious breakfast (the best I'd had in Nepal!) the location is perfect for exploring Kathmandu and the hotel offer a shuttle to the airport. Kathmandu is bustling and alive, with plenty of trekking shops that offers Excellent gear at an excellent price, you will find EVERYTHING you need here. Durbar Square is cool, and if you can handle it the Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of Bagmati River - Crematoria is worth a visit. Restaurants overall are pretty good offerring a wide range of Western, Nepalese and Indian Cuisine. The shopping for local crafts and Cashmere are Great... .

In Nepal, both inDrive and regular taxi drivers can be tricky. They often charge more than double the normal price. With inDrive, after you receive a booking, they may call and ask for extra charges. If you repeatedly cancel bookings because you’re not comfortable, inDrive may even restrict your account. This caused a lot of trouble for us. I just want to remind everyone to be careful with taxi drivers and always make sure the cost or fare is clearly agreed upon beforehand.

I am an architect working in Heritage Preservation and have worked in the past in Nepal so I can say that Bhaktapur is the best preserved city in Nepal and an outstanding example of a community living their traditions and therefore aware of their own culture identity. It is a city who h teaches everyone how to respect and preserve our own cultural heritage, to be seen at least one in the life!

Value for money ,service oriented , the Bhutanese delicacy was amazing , very traditional and authentic touch. Front office team was amazing and always helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful, spacious and all amenities placed tightly. The location is perfect close to Boudha stupa just walking distance and very peaceful and serene. Security staff very welcoming and professional. Very eager to come back to this property , I would highly recommend this hotel .

The temple is really nice to visit.

The temple is really nice to visit. In the morning we could see the daily ritual and Nima gave explanation to us. The location is really calm, open, green and it is nice to breath in Kathmandu ! We went for a walk around, shivapuri park is really close. We discovered the life of Nepali, really friendly. We had breakfast and diner at home stay. And lunch around. Really convenient to take the bus (Stop at 5 min by walk). Taxi also.

An exciting, vibrant city full of interest, lovely people and good food. Felt very safe. Also very cheap, £20 a night for two people in a good hotel. In Pokhara, after a twelve day trek we stayed in the smartest hotel I’ve every stayed in, right posh it was, pool, sauna, massage, etc all for £60 a night for two people. Napal generally is a very good option for holiday. While the initial flights are expensive, fly via Delhi takes about 13 hours and costs roughly £1000, once you’re there it’s very cheap with lots to do. Best suited for those people looking for an active holiday trekking, guided mountaineer, water sports, mountain biking, and temple ticking. A European holiday from Europe is cheap to get there but food and accommodation are expensive. Napal is expensive to get there but very cheap once you’re there. I’m 67 years old, this trip was my swan song my final big mountain exploit ! Well stuff that, it’s fired me up, I’m going back next spring, thanks Nepal.

Nagarkot , lovely place to stay there, neighbours and...

Nagarkot , lovely place to stay there, neighbours and villagers are very friendly, safe and secure. In every morning or evening, we walk around Nagarkot village to Nagarkot sunrise tower through pine tree forest. It has good viewpoints to snowcaps of Hamalia range, sunrise, sunset and community villages in valleys. In Nagarkot, we can have fresh meat, chicken, egg and milks all are fresh and tasty. There are a lot of restaurants nearby Nagarkot but enjoy cooking fresh meals , breathing fresh breeze, so nice of community life there. In some day , visit to Bhaktapur Durbar square by bus, and can go to several sites as day trip. Good to learn Tamang culture. For us, at least we want to stay at least 7 days but we found very late so we can only stay 4 nights. We will definitely come back Nagarkot
