My stay at Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge was exceptional. The lodge is conveniently located along a scenic road that offers stunning views of Mount Cook, making the drive to the accommodation a memorable experience. It is also ideally situated for those who enjoy trekking, with easy access to various trails. One of the highlights of my stay was the night sky, which was breathtakingly clear due to the lack of light pollution, allowing for excellent stargazing. The lodge itself was warm, the water supply was reliable, and all amenities were convenient and well-maintained.
Overall, I had a very comfortable stay with no significant issues to mention. I highly recommend Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge for anyone looking to explore the area and enjoy a cozy, nature-filled retreat.

The place is quiet and very nice. The room was not so big but very cosy. The personnel is open and ready to help in every minute. The lounge zone with big clean windows with a perfect view to the Mt Cook.

We booked one of the units ( bedroom+private bathroom+kitchen) and it was super comfortable and had a wonderful view over Mt.Cook. We had plenty of space and the kitchen was extra clean and super equipped. The staff was also extra nice and was very welcoming! Also, it was only a short drive (20min) to the park visitor’s centre and most famous hike trails!

Everything. Facilities, homey, cozy, super clean. Milky way right above the huts. Couldn't be more perfect. We even met a wee tour guide that showed us the farm and the animals during the morning of the check out. Perfect stay to get away from everything. We will come back!

Room was decent size, clean and modern and had beautiful views. Was great to have the restaurant on site and a nice walk around to the Hermitage.
We arrived a bit early and was able to check in and drop our stuff and food supplies into our room before we did Hooker Valley which was great too.

Mount Cook Village is a great location if you are planning to do some walks in the area. We did the Hooker Valley Track, Sealy Tarn Track, and the Tasman Glacier View after which we were exhausted and travelling to another location would have been a bit much. Staying at the village was the best decision. At night you can travel slightly out to get the most exceptional views of stars and in the morning you wake up to unbelievably beautiful views of mountains. If you are lucky you might just get some snow.

Awesome landscape views and friendly info center staff, but some tourist sites such asTasman Glacier and White of the toilets had signs "Closed during Winter", which was so inconvenient for tourists.

Hooker valley trek is the main attraction there and it is closed right now
The alternate to that trek is the Sealy Tarns trek which is pretty okay
There are not too many options to eat there so it is a better option to buy your own food before you get here as there arent grocery shops here as well.

We loved the convenient location of the mount cook village.
We loved the convenient location of the mount cook village. It was nice being so close to the hermitage where all the activities were based from. Even though the motel/lodge was less luxurious than the hermitage, the rooms were still very lovely (and had heated floors!). Although it wasn't the best value compared to other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the convenient location makes it very worth it.
