The room is out of my expectation and it looks better than the photo in booking.com. It is in the ground floor which next to the host work shop. The room with good privacy and no one will pass through it indeed. Also the setting in the room is very comfortable and with a window.
When we arrive, the host is not in there. We check in ourselves without difficulties.
The breakfast is also prepared in the room and we can make our own breakfast in next morning.
A good restaurant is in the town and we walk down from there without problem (I have a car but I would like to drink some wine so I didn't drive). We meet our host when we walk down to the restaurant and we have a good chat. But if you are not good in walking then you can drive to there.
p.s. Otago Peninsula is really a beautiful place that I haven't though about, I really recommended to stay in there for 1 night so you could have plenty of time for sight seeing.

Everything! Expect for Dunedin's hills, but that's not the facility's fault 😉

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, the room is very spacious, everything was clean and tidy, the facilities are absolutely adequate. It is located directly on the lake, you have a wonderful view over the lake. The restaurants are about 3 minutes away by car.
Ana is a lovely hostess, she made a very good breakfast and fulfilled all our wishes. This accommodation is highly recommended, a big big thank you to Ana

This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula...
This is a beautiful peaceful location on the Otago Peninsula with lovely views, lots of wildlife nearby and stunning vistas from the high road above the village. Lara change Castle is about 15 minutes drive away with the Royal Albatross centre about 20 minutes down to the end of the peninsula. It you like serenity then you will like it here. If you are after the city life and party scene then I would not recommend.

Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago...
Portobello is a beautiful part of Dunedin, located on Octago Peninsular, which is spectacular!!
Right at the end of the peninsular is The Albatross Centre which is a must see, you will see these beautiful large birds nesting and flying around all year except October. There is also a penguin parade, Monarch cruises you get to see wildlife out at sea, Natures Wonderland to see sea lions and rare penguins. The beaches and walking trails are stunning. Dunedin City is great to visit with two great museums, botanical gardens, cafes and shopping. It's a fantastic small city. Bus 18 gets you into the City centre within 30 minutes from Porttobello. The locals all across are so friendly and helpful and the Uni Students make this City alive with good vibes. Dunedin is a jewel.
