We stayed in "Tui" in March. The cabin is in a great location with its own private garden area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen where you could cook a meal if you were so inclined. We preferred to eat in Tekaka where there are several good eateries. The large bed was comfortable and the rest of the furnishings fitted well.
There is a bath on the patio where you can soak while watching the stars or in my case watching the Fantails chase each other around the trees.

We adored everything about this place, the view, the chalet, bathroom the breakfast basket delivered the night before. We cooked on the bbq quite a bit too. Loved we could do laundry freely after 5pm. The owners and staff were all super lovely too. It was spotlessly clean and really felt 5 star. We also really liked the area close to collingwood and farewell spit.

Excellent, spacious, squeaky clean and very well equipped 2 bedroom unit. Furnishing felt new and modern, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook a proper family meal. Great little play park for the kids and under cover parking. Units were separate to each other so no noise disturbance as in some places.

Cabin overlooked the beach and sea which was an amazing view. Very quiet with restaurants a short 3 minute walk away.
Very clean and comfortable. Small, as expected, but most of our time was spent sitting outside watching the sea. Good shower and facilities with a fridge and kettle.

The motel manager accommodated well for our late arrival and organized breakfasts for us for our early departure the following morning. The communication was quick and helpful. The motel rooms are spotless, clean, and well taken care of. Our stay was a pleasant surprise.

The grounds are fantastic for families with kids. We had a studio and I found it clean and spacious. Basic kitchen equipment is provided and the bbq in the park are a great addition. Bonus point for the coffee truck selling great coffee in the morning

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman...
We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.

Kaiteriteri is a beautiful seaside village in the northern part of the South island of NZ. It forms part of the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. Which is a beautiful unspoilt area of NZ.There are lots of boat tours leaving from Kaiteriteri which provide a large choice of walks or scenic boat tours of the national park. Well worth a visit to this beautiful national park.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

Richmond is on the outskirts of Nelson City and has most services such as dentist, doctor, Specsavers. Free Parking is usually available nearby. Has supermarket, several eateries and department and specialty shops. A friendly, convenient place to shop.

Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular...
Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular scenery with very unique environments not found in other places of the world. If you want to learn some history about early NZ, this little place has bits of information signposted everywhere so forget about guessing who found the place or what kept the inhabitants there. Even the journey there from Nelson was interesting with multiple towns and side trips like Mapua, the entrance to the Abel Tasman Track, Kaiteriteri Beach, Pohara and Waipupu Springs walk which was wonderful, just to mention a couple of things we did.

We love this beach - especially in winter!
It is also very close to some special places - Tata and Ligar Beaches, the Wainui Falls, the Grove Reserve and more - always something new to discover.
Molly Bs is to be reccommended…and the cafes of Takaka are not far away.

We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

Very handy location for Mapua,Motueka, Kaiteriteri ,Abel Tasmannarional park and city of Nelson. Nearby Kiteriteri beach is the best. lovely sunny and warm microclimate. Dinner at The apple Shed, Mapua was excellent.
