BelgiumThe little house was amazing! Clean, well maintained and clearly owned by people who love/respect their property. It was modern and comfortable. I liked the fact that it had a kitchenette instead of a kitchen because some guests cook like there is no tomorrow and make everything smell so bad. This accomodation smelled fresh and clean. The location is excellent! So close to the beach and in a very cute neighborhoud. The garden (and its privacy) is the cherry on top!

5 min walk to lake and all restaurants. Super clean and comfortable apartment with all facilities. Laundry facility available at property with extra charge. Forgot something at apartment and Peter was kind enough to parcel it us at next destination hotel. Parking available.

Everything! The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The electric blankets were particularly welcome, as was the gas fire. The spa was a treat. The selection of teas/coffee/hot chocolate was excellent. The location was ideal. Couldn't fault anything.

The place was huge 2 story with 2 bedrooms. One bedroom with 3 beds and one queen bedroom. The washing and drying machine was amazing, it's like being in your own apartment. The amenities was great. Very clean place.

We were in Wanaka to hike French Ridge.
We were in Wanaka to hike French Ridge. Unfortunately, the snow line was too low and deep, so we made the call to turn back. It was a 30km day, but we loved being in Mt Aspiring National Park. The following day we hiked Mt Isthmus, a definite leg workout but the views made it worthwhile. Some of our party then took a dip in Lake Wanaka to ease the muscles!
There are plenty of food options and bars too within easy reach to suit all pockets. Such a fabulous part of the country.

We spent two weeks in NZ driving from Queenstown across to the east coast, made our way up to Christchurch then slowly across to Arthur's pass the down the west coast back to Queenstown to fly out, I wish we had another week just to spend at Lake Hawea

Great location easy to get to Wanaka but not in the middle of the all the tourists and busyness you get for a long weekend in a holiday spot. Right on the banks of the Clutha River, easy areas to walk and enjoy. Picture perfect location.

Very Pretty,lots of places to have a coffee or drinks,enjoyed a drink on the waterfront looking at a amazing view,also scenic drive to Lake Hawea and went as far as the lookout when the road takes you to top of Lake Wanaka.Would of loved to had more time to do some short walks.

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka. The water is clear and beautiful, the view up the lake is magnificent and there is a great pub and store. There are good bike riding and walking tracks. Who could want for more?

Wanaka is a great little town.
Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well.
We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.

Beautiful area to walk or bike in.
Beautiful area to walk or bike in. There are wildlife on the lake. You can sit/sun bathe on the beach albeit a stony beach. Or you can just stroll along the shore area. When the sun is shining it is glorious whatever you chose to do.
