From the moment my husband and I entered the property the staff has been very accommodating to our needs. The room is clean, spacious and has all the amenities we need. Not many hotels in Coron have a mini fridge so that was definitely a plus for us. The location is right on the main road and is walking distance to all the restaurants, cafes, and spas. The view from the room is so beautiful and breathtaking. They have in room massage, laundry service, and room service. My family is already planning on returning next year. Thank Casa Mario's for making our stay delightful!!

Brand new facilities that have a real luxury feel. Very good value for money. Town is very quiet but the hotel terrace is a good place to hang out, also after everything else is closed. Staff was super helpful and even stayed longer & kept the bar open because we were hanging out on the terrace. They even learned new cocktails for us. They also organized the scooter rental for us. Can definitely recommend the stay.

What made us return to this romantic hotel is not just the wonderfully clever and detailed design of the hotel itself, it’s also the friendly team and the cleanliness. The team always seems to aim (and achieve) to go above and beyond by taking their time to learn about your plans and finding ways to assist. We casually told of our plans to take a ferry to El Nido upon check-out and the next morning we were informed that transport to the ferry would be ready. We did not even tell them at what time we would leave but they planned it spot-on. The ladies truly know how to anticipate the needs of their guests. The service at the bar/restaurant is good, especially combined with the meals and drinks they deliver. Our favorite hotel on one of the most beautiful islands we have seen on our travels.

We had a great stay in Tropicasa! We stayed for 6 nights and we did not have any complaint. Everyone specially the housekeeping is so kind and accommodating! The location is in center which is really convenient and near the restos. The room is very clean and bed is so comfy. The rooftop resto is a plus you can see the beauty of Coron beach and Mt. Tapyas. Good view for sunset watching. They also serve good food! Thanks Tropicasa we had an amazing stay!

We loved our experience at Venus Royale. Staff were great, everything super clean and tight. The hotel is just a few minutes from town by tuktuk but you don’t need to worry since they have a ride available all the time and it’s just PHP60.00 - less then $1. Breakfast is on the rooftop with a stunning view and super yummy! We loved our experience.

Great place. The breakfast was awesome, the room was great, the staff helped me out when I had food poisoning (bad street food). Its next door to a good motorbike rental shop. For a guy like me I would still consider it walking distance to town, but far enough away from the noise of town.

The suite with the pool view was very spacious with a seating area, large kitchen space and comfy big bed. When you put in the key card it takes a minute for the AC to come on but be patient. Large walk-in shower in the bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served in the restaurant buffet style or you could sit outside and although it was not vast, it was well furnished and tasty. Staff was friendly and conscientious. The family-price Easter dinner for 5 was delicious; 4 generous (chicken, ham and seafood) main dishes, ice tea and fresh fruit platter came to a total of 29€ TOTAL not per person! Other times eaten there- food reasonably priced and quite good. The pool is very large with an attached shallow area and another circular pool area with a seating shelf. Although many people comment on the lack of adequate sun loungers, during the day there were not many people at the pool anyway. There was a chair and side table on the terrace in front of my room in the shade. Outside bar serves drinks and food. The resort is quiet and just on the upper limits of town but only a 20-minute walk to downtown proper. Better option was a 30 peso per person tuktuk (48 centimes) for the 6-min ride which Reception can call for you. Mini-mart (cash only) 12 minute walk just past the McDonalds with ATM just across the street. Great restaurant options in town: Gavin's and Santino's were FABULOUS ! Had my laundry done before heading home so that I arrived with all clean clothes ..pick up and delivery..impeccable and about 6-7€. Arrange with reception. Easy RDV location for marvelous island hopping day tours. Staff was great in all areas, the resort is very well maintained and a perfect location away from the noise and crowds.

We had a wonderful stay here! As people mentioned, it’s a bit secluded, but we were ending our two week holiday, and it was a perfect place to just relax. The pool area is so nice and the staff are really friendly. Great location to dive! (Shout out to Gunther’s Dive Center! They pick you up at the dock and it’s a short 2 min speedboat ride to the center.) The spa was excellent! We had facials and a 2.5 hour body scrub and massage. We thought the food was great, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Highly recommend!

Amazing little paradise just out of the busy town of Coron, 10 min. by private boat (free shuttle available on request all day!) from the resort. The restaurant serves nice food, the pool has a great view over the bay and the bungalows are comfortable (don’t expect luxury). The staff makes this place even more, the team is super friendly and helpful! We stayed here a week and could have stayed even longer :)

The entire place felt like a relaxing resort getaway. We liked that it wasn’t right in the main town area, so it wasn’t as loud. Downtown isn’t far though to take a tryke to for dinner, which is convenient. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had lots to offer in buffet breakfast, pool, and a bar.

The airport and almost all hotels are located on Busuanga (the neighbour island of Coron). There is hardly anything to see here. Neither nice beaches nor varied landscapes. You have to take boat trips to the neighbouring island of Coron or go diving. Both are great. Coron with its lakes, lagoons, caves and beaches is amazing. The underwater world is more varied than in El Nido, Moalboal or Boracay.

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

The damage from the previous typoons is still present. There are numerous bars, I recommend the Pacifico Bar, they have Octoberfest sized mugs to hold the Red Horse Beer. It is 50 Pesos each way from the hotel to town and back. On the island tours, the outhouses are the absolute bare minimum, a toilet, no seat, no tank, no TP, a bucket and a ladle and no sink. Wear grippy water shoes, the stairs are slippery. Go see the Coral Garden, elsewhere all the other fish are <5" and no coral. Unless you go to the the Coral Garden, the crystal kayak is a waste of money. Still I had a great time, the staff did an amazing job, life is an adventure!

I dont know why everyone goes to crowded Coron island while huge wild beautiful Busuanga is near. Its very big island, better to rent a motorbike to discover it. A lot of things to do, islands, giraffes, diving, beaches.

The wow factor was definitely at Twin Lagoons and Kayangan Lake. Loved swimming and snorkelling although coming from Australia, the corals and fish were a bit underwhelming. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in Coron Town. We especially liked the french restaurant Armihan Bistro, Poco Deli (next door to Epic Cafe) and Le Voyage. All catered for Gluten Free meals as well. Tuk Tuks are plentiful and easy to catch. 50 pesos for 2 peoples to take you anywhere within the town boundaries. We also walked to the hilltop lookout Mt Tapayas .. but beware, there's 720 steps to climb to get to the top from the car park!!!

We liked Busuanga because it was relatively untouched by tourism. Where we stayed at Ocam Ocam there was a rural village community living along the beach. They were friendly and helpful and there was one restobar on the beach. The beach wasn't busy - had a very relaxed feel. It would have been a drive to the nearest town but we liked being away from it all. The beach at Ocam Ocam was gorgeous, though not for swimming as it had a long shallow reef out to the sea. We didn't see a lot of Busuanga as a whole but it felt equally relaxed and rural away from big towns.
