We travel to Hel every year with my family.
We travel to Hel every year with my family. The beaches are clean, the sea fresh, beautiful area full of forrests, ideal also for bike rides. There is a brilliant (possibly educational) walk all around the beach, wheelchair and stroller friendly from which you can see both the sea, local flora, read about Hel and watch a sunsent on the bench. Plenty of fresh smoked fish, shrimp, also local resaraurants are great. Plenty of activities for children including exotic butterfly exposition, many museums and seal rescue.Guest review byErika RubiSlovakia - 8.0

It's a nice and interesting place for a short seaside holiday. There are plenty of places to go for a walk or a bike ride. There is a nice view, and a clean, huge beach with clean, white sand. There are toilets and bins for rubbish, and plenty of space to relax without being disturbed by other people..Guest review bySergeyUkraine - 8.0

It's an amazing place to escape the busy world and recharge your batteries. The beach is huge and beautiful, and it's pretty empty in May. The forest is also lovely. The downside for me was the limited food options — most places serve overpriced junk food and only accept cash payments.Guest review byTetianaUkraine - 10.0
Hel peninsula helps you slow down and relax.
Hel peninsula helps you slow down and relax. There is a lot to discover. The town of Hel with fishermen musem and fokarium. Military fortresses hidden in the forests with the both military and ethnographic exhibitions. Boat trips to Gdynia and Gdansk. It is better to use car as little as possible, there is only one road with quite a lot traffic. Foot, bicycle, train and ships are better options. Some travellers may find place too cold, but that is Baltic sea.Guest review byTomášCzech Republic - 2.0
Where do i start.
Where do i start. 1/ Fridge not working and was told that the owner was 400km away and can do nothing. And a lot of food had to go to the bin. 2/ Floor was not clean. 3/ Cooker not work, we was told due to health and safety.( we had to try and cook on a little cooker outside or a dirty BBQ . so we had to go to town to eat an our food was a waste . 4/ Its not good for families . 5/ the a rounding area looks like a dumping ground ,broken sinks and kitchen part list goes onGuest review byARTUROUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great place with plenty to do, especially if you are an active person. Great restaurants, cafes and little shops. A lot of beaches to sunbathe, bikes routes and hikes options beside well known water sports.Guest review byAnonymous
