SpainThe stay in this place was an incredible experience! I even can not imagine such high level of rest. Stuff was exceptionally friendly and supportive. They speak several languages and provided us all the information and help as we requested. Despite the fact the we came pretty late, kitchen was open and we had a dinner. Our room was great, spacious and clean. Everything there is done on a exceptional level, with focus on details. Big playground for kids, swimming pool, padel playgrounds. It is a calm place, well decorated and it provides high level of rest and enjoy. Breakfast was just amazing! The taste of food, fruits and drinks was delicious. This place just opened a year ago and with no doubts this is a great one that we would like to visit again and again.

Since it was out of season we were the only guests but they still treated us so well. It is such a peaceful and quiet area I am sure that even with other guests around it will still be a beautiful and peaceful area. Breakfast was fantastic great granola and yoghurt, great coffee, meats and cheeses, fruit and bread and croissants all that can be toasted or as is and chocolate cake to top it all off. There are 2 pools that even in Feb looked clean and very inviting. They upgraded us to an apartment room with separate living room and kitchen - lovely private terrace area with deck chairs. Public areas absolutely beautiful like sitting in your own home, gorgeous fireplace that we didnt light as it was only us but it felt like sitting in your own lounge room. Highly recommend this place it was just wonderful.

We loved everything about our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable - both my sister and I had the best night sleep we've had in ages. The room was clean and quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping and good wifi ... it had everything we could need or want. The robes and complimentary port were very nice touches. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying for both of us (one of us is a vegetarian, the other is not). The property itself is gorgeous. It happened to be a little too cold out to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and recommended some beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants for us to check out. Next time I'm back in this area I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to all my friends.

We stayed one night only, but it's suitable for longer stays. The room was clean, wide, view on the swimming pool, all amenities working great, quite comfortable beds. The hotel needs a little bit of renovation, but it was perfect for us.
Breakfast was varied and enyoyable, pretty yummy I'd say.
All the staff members who we met were very kind and welcoming.
Ample and safe parking inside.
Well located if beaches are your main interest, a little bit far from Aljezur, you need a car anyway.
Would recommend, we had a (short) and excellent experience.

It was exceptional. We got an entire apartment in the main house (one of two apartments), and it was hands down the best apartment we’ve stayed in. It was huge (about 60sqm), nicely distributed, right above the pool and with breathtaking views. The location is unbeatable- 5km away from Vila Nova and so much calmer than the town. In the morning, you smell freshly baked bread and fried bacon by the lovely cook and see an elegant gardener watering the beautiful plants and flowers around - it feels like a true villa escape. Will definitely come back!

Amazing quiet stay at a beautiful property. The staff were so kind and we were in love with Nina the resident cat. Super sweet kitty, we miss her already. The breakfast was very nice, all sorts of items so something for everyone. Dina was very lovely too, but all staff made us feel very welcome.
Coffee machine, microwave and water boiler in our house was great. And the spa bath was also amazing in November/ December to stay warm.

I’ve been camping in this camping place for around 25 years and it has been always the best. It was the 1st time in the apartments, it’s nothing fancy but it was clean and it’s very big. They even “lend” us some cats to keep us company.

Vila Nova is a pretty seaside town .
Vila Nova is a pretty seaside town . We came for a night and stayed for a fortnight. The supermarkets amd cafés are plentiful. There are many beautiful beaches and interesting things to see. The local bus takes you to pretty towns and villages nearby. Its a lovely place to have a holiday.

The ruins of the ancient castle overlooking the town enhances the dreamlike feeling of this very old town. Just wandering the streets is enough, but then there is terrific hiking. Ideal for those who like heritage and outdoor adventure in the "real" Portugal outside of the large City. And then there are the people, who could not do enough to help.

A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic. A great place for a short visit if you like to avoid the crowds or to look for accomodation if you plan to explore the gorgeous 'vicentina' coast, with car access to many great beaches. Most of these beaches are likely to be too 'wild' for most people, with difficult access, but they are perfect for the more adventurers and, again, for those who prefer to avoid the crowds. Plus, there are a few places in the village centre where you can enjoy a really tasteful light meal, of which I'd definitely reccommend the restaurants 'Ao Largo' and 'Casa Verde'.

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of town

The town itself was smaller than the surrounding towns with less amenities , like restaurants to choose from, but we were only there for one night so it was fine. We walked down the road to the beach to enjoy an amazing sunset. The weather was beautiful while we were there. ,

We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. Great views and trails.

I walked from Pedralva to Vila do Bispo -- about 8 miles. A nice in-land walk with a few steep hills, and no provisions (stores, cafe's, etc.,) along the way. Vila do Bispo is a nice little town with a number of very good restaurants, and even an Aldi's. There is a very good Vamus bus connection to Lagos which I used.

Visited for 3 days as part of a road trip through Alentejo into the Algarve. Lovely resort with river and sea beaches. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Visited out of season so very quiet apart from a volume of backpackers. Weather was perfect.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.
