Akagera Rhino Lodge is a great place to stay near Akagera Park—only 15 minutes away by car. The room was very cosy, with an amazing view of the lake! The restaurant is nice, the food is good, and you can also order a picnic to take with you on safari in the park. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There's hot water in the shower, and the Wi-Fi is decent. I 100% recommend this place for its excellent value for money.

Egide was an amazing host. My Cruiser had a serious mechanical issue and even though it was evening he managed to get a local mechanic, stood by and helped with translation, all while juggling other issues, and always with a smile. I had a great sleep and super appreciated the packed breakfast/lunch for the next day in the park!

Absolutely the nicest stay we had in Rwanda. The hotel is located in a centre with local pub, billiards, supermarket, fast food with delicious barbecue and hairdresser. The garden is cozy with seating areas. The hosts, staff and people in the village were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Close to Akagera National Park, the hosts arranged a car and a guided tour. Good breakfast and well-functioning Internet. One of the employees washed and ironed my white shirt. Fantastic stay, highly recommended. Thanks to all the fine people at AKAGERA Neighbors. Here we'll come back again...

Everything. We arrived and were stunned by the beautiful, enormous room with amazing bathroom overlooking the lake. The terrace was a great place to spend an afternoon relaxing before going into Akagera. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Akagera Transit Lodge was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived in Kigali, the service was outstanding. The lodge arranged seamless transportation for my family and me from Kigali to Akagera, ensuring a stress-free start to our adventure.
During our Safari trip in Akagera National Park, the lodge’s commitment to excellent service continued. They made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the lodge. It provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation after our safari excursions. The lodge also organized our transport from Rwanda to my home village in Tanzania, which was handled flawlessly.
