Akagera Rhino Lodge is a great place to stay near Akagera Park—only 15 minutes away by car. The room was very cosy, with an amazing view of the lake! The restaurant is nice, the food is good, and you can also order a picnic to take with you on safari in the park. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There's hot water in the shower, and the Wi-Fi is decent. I 100% recommend this place for its excellent value for money.

Akagera guide's House is located in Kabarondo and offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. The property has garden and inner courtyard views.

Absolutely the nicest stay we had in Rwanda. The hotel is located in a centre with local pub, billiards, supermarket, fast food with delicious barbecue and hairdresser. The garden is cozy with seating areas. The hosts, staff and people in the village were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Close to Akagera National Park, the hosts arranged a car and a guided tour. Good breakfast and well-functioning Internet. One of the employees washed and ironed my white shirt. Fantastic stay, highly recommended. Thanks to all the fine people at AKAGERA Neighbors. We had a great stay at Akagera Transit Lodge. My wife and I were with our two little kids (3 and 4). Directly at our arrival, we were welcomed by a very kind and professional staff which helped us with our luggage and the installation. The room was very clean and spacious and the outdoor was charming. The Lodge also propose Safari tours of the Akagera with a guide. For the tour, the Lodge provided delicous lunch boxes with sandwiches, drinks and fruits. We had a very pleasent Safari experience thanks to our very skilled guide and we had the chance to see most of the animals we were looking for.
