William the manager speaks english and french. He is very reactive and helpful. The food was nice but above the place whre the lodge stands is perfect. On the lake shore with a sublime view on the volcanos for the sunset and the sunrise. A small piece of paradise. Highly recommended!

The staff are AMAZING! So friendly - above and beyond. The room is simple and clean, the beds were comfortable. I felt safe. The location is really central if you like to explore the bustling town. We walked to 2 excellent restaurants within 5 minutes. They accommodated us with an early breakfast when we were trekking and a packed lunch for purchase. Amazing samosas. We spent a few incredible days in Makeri. We felt right at home. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and a small gym that has everything you need. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a 20-minute walk from the center. It's in an area with a school, so you always see children greeting you and friendly neighbors. Wi-Fi works well.

It is not easy to find nice value for a price near the Volcano National Park in Rwanda. Isange Hotel is just like that. Of course, it takes time to travel to the main gate, but one or another way you'll be on your own transport there. So it is the perfect place for those who are looking for a good place for less money in one of the most expensive places around the country.
