A special thank you to one of the staff members (I guess it was Paivi) driven us to the customer office as there was no Taxi available. Thanks to their quick and thoughtful assistance, we were able to get to our customer meeting on time – which made all the difference. Stockholm is a lovely city- very clean, offering lots of amenities, an excellent transportation system which we utilized almost exclusively, and lots of interesting attractions. Something for everyone as the saying goes. We were here at the end of "the season", just before fall, but except for a bit of rain it was comfortable and lovely. Earlier in September by a week or so might have been good, but the crowds were certainly less at this time. Prefer arriving in Arlanda compared to other airports close to Stockholm as it's easy access into Stockholm. A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants. Nice city center with a promenade along the sea that looks like a river. Beautiful surroundings with lakes. It's a bit like being in the suburbs, but it is still easy to get about as the bus leaves from outstide the hotel it is only about 10 mins or so to get to Upplands-Väsby train station. I took a train from there to get to Stockholm city centre (getting off at Stockholm City). The travel ticket allows you 75 mins of travel time so the bus ticket and be used again (including on the train for 75 mins). Note: Stockholm city is literally a couple of mins walk to another station in the city centre called Stockholm Centrum (Stockholm Central Station). Lovely location with a jetty and diving platform on the archipelago. Great buffet breakfasts and dinners with a lovely terrace with a sea view. Near to public transport links to centre of Stockholm. Good bus 211 to bathing beach as well as Ropsten for travel in to stockholm. If you get a week travel pass it can be used on bus train, tram and some ferries. Arlanda is a beautiful airport with many nice restaurants. It is always clean with much natural light. The only issue I have is going through passport control upon arrival. Sometimes the workers are on a fika break and nobody is working at all. Once we stood there for almost 20 minutes before anyone arrived to check people's passports. On the other hand, the workers are always kind and helpfu,l so I appreciate that. Overall, I would say that Arlanda is one of my favorite airports, having to stay the night there (at one of the airport hotels) is more like a treat than annoying. Getting to the trains, buses, and car rentals is easy and convenient.Guest review byParke
