The place has wonderful surroundings, great to have breakfast outside in the morning sun with fish jumping out of the pond. Rooms was excellent, we had enough space and everything was very clean and newly done. Breakfast was great, on the weekend buffet style with many different options, on the workday as less people we had few options to choose from for the hot that they made for each guessed separately. We also booked spa for an hour, the area is also very new, great sauna, enough space to rest, there is also a jacuzzi, which had a little too hot water for our tastes. We heard people in winter also like to jump out to the snow as you can exit the area and walk around to the pond, etc. Overall excellent place and more affordable than other places around in High Tatry.

Hotel is really nice, very clean, our room was spacious and comfortable. I was very happy to find a sewing kit in our room as I had made a hole in my snowboard trousers! Food was amazing, delicious breakfasts and dinners, everyday something else, quite a big choice. Hotel stuff very kind and helpful. Great location, practically on the slope. We loved the ski room where we could leave our snowboard equipment to dry.

We had an opportunity to use the online check-in form so upon the arrival we didn't have to wait at the reception while the personnel enters our data. As we arrived quite late, it was really nice. Also, the fact that you can use a key or a code to enter the room is nice: it makes you worry less about forgetting the keys in the room and allows two people to move around separately. The ski room is very convenient and safe. It is locked from the outside. Additionally, inside the room, skis are going into a locked lace, so you can be sure no-one will take your equipment (by mistake for instance). The room was of a perfect size: spacious enough for two people, especially for a short-term stay when you spend most of your time out. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathrooms was good as well. It is very warm in the room, which is also a big plus, and the wi-fi connection was always very stable and fast, we could watch a film and use several devices. The personnel was always very friendly and helpful. They made us copies of some documents. In the end of our stay the was an electricity shortage (on the 1st of January). It was solved within two hours and the stuff provided us with some electric candles on batteries and let us in the sauna to warm up and dry our hair, which was really nice of them.

I liked everything about Liptov chaty. The place is very peaceful and quiet, close to a bus stop, a coffee shop Vanilka, or a local store Coop. A wooden house is really comfortable and compact for two families with children or for friends group. The bedrooms, located upstairs, are small and cozy. I liked that living room with kitchen, located on the groundfloor, with an entrance to a terrace with a barbecue area where we spent wonderful evenings with family.

I liked everything! It was cozy, stylish, a warm atmosphere and warm cozy chalet. The food in the restaurant was excellent! The sorroundings, the creeck near the chalet are fantastic! The personnel was very helpful and very nice! The pets are very welcoming, and my dogs was really happy in this beautiful place 😊

Super if you travel with small kids. The village is very well equipped with in- and outdoors playgrounds. The is a direct connection with the waterpark; separaed entrance is insured to the waterpark. The Zoo is very closed (50 meters) to the Village.

We went purely for skiing.

We went purely for skiing. Lovely slopes, just make sure there’s plenty of snow forecast, else it gets icy. For UK visitors it’s just over a 2 hour flight to Poprad Tatry (Wizz Air) and a 40 minute transfer and you can be skiing by afternoon if you have an early morning flight.

I visit my family in the Roma settlement called Hlboké.

I visit my family in the Roma settlement called Hlboké. When we tried to take a taxi from the train station with my very elderly grandmother on crutches, the driver refused to take us all the way to the settlement. So it's better to walk/not be old or disabled/not have dark skin. No one in the town, least of all the plaque- and monument-makers, seems to have the least idea of the heroic sacrifices that settlement made for the country during World War II (partisan fighters, concentration camps, mass murder of civilians including my grandmother's parents) and Roma are treated poorly (the town refuses to pave their streets, segregates their children into a separate school, etc.), but other than that it's a nice town.

Ružomberok is an old industrial town in northern Slovakia (during communist times is was famous for the foul smell from its industries), and a place you still have to drive through because the expressway avoiding the city has not been opened yet...and during my visit this meant chaos with three hours waiting time because of another road reconstruction work... However, there are great possibilities for skiing close to the city and a pair of museums (but aside of that not too much to attract visitors)... The beer from its first micro-brewery, Ursus, is unfortunately also nothing to write home about.

There is not much to do in the village in late autumn but...

There is not much to do in the village in late autumn but it‘s a convenient location to explore the area. The surroundings are beautiful. If you are staying, take a walk to the lookout tower for a nice panoramic view. There is a fun park nearby which was closed when I was there on an afternoon. Also within a walking distance (~45 min) is the Demanovska Ice Cave (which was also closed in October).

The train ride to Liptovský Hrádok offered stunning views of rolling hills and river valleys, setting the perfect tone for our field adventure. Exploring the river surrounded by the majestic Low Tatras was both scientifically enriching and emotionally refreshing.

Amazing landscape, nice view, wide area, near to nature. Comfortable stay at MARA camping. Near to Tatra hills. To swim in Mara lake was really cooling and refreshing in July when weather was warmed up already by our arrival. Compare to July this location was not overcrowded. I am glad, visited there, been there. I would recommend to anyone for a sunny day to visit this area.

Jasna resort is pretty big and there's a lot to do. The lift tickets are ~60 euro per day which personally I thought was way too much. I'm just a beginner though and the weather was really, really cloudy while I was there so on better days and a more experienced skier would definitely get more use out of the lift passes. Poiana Brasov in Romania is ~20 euro a day for lift passes and ~20 euro a day for a full ski set so my price expectations are probably ruined forever because of that.

The countryside near Liptovsky Mikulas is beautiful. Pure nature with a gentle human touch like roads, lots of bike and hiking trails, houses but not disturbing the countryside. The city of Liptovsky Mikulas is small but lovely.

We were going to ski. The snow was good . We were relatively lucky with the weather. The sloops were short for us but we enjoyed . The apartmant is 100 meters close to the lift. We didn't have time to see the city but nature was amazing.

We went for the skiing.

We went for the skiing. You had to be up and at the ski lift at least 45 minutes before it opened. This was to get a car parking space. The first day we parked on the road side and we were fined 50 euros. Also due to the distance from the house apres ski was impossible due to drink driving laws (zero tolerance) and they stopped our 70 year old guest and breathalaysed him. The house was warm to get back to and a very comfortable bed. No exciting places to eat near by either. Enjoyed it all but probably would not return - not the house but the area. The skiing was good particularly if you get over to Chopok, amazing weather every day.
