The location is incredibly beautiful, right in the center. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you are planning a trip in Bangkok, it is very easy to reach everywhere. 1 minute walk from Phaya Thai station, which is BTS station and also is ARL station ( Airport Rail Link). Just follow the instruction in the station, going through pedestrian bridge and you can access to hotel, which you don't need to carry baggage up and down stairs. -> The building itself is Very Nice ! Lovely Thai architecture. You are never disappointed and the domain (farm, pool, stable, gym, main building, beach) are all close to each other (a buggy is available for the person with limited mobility or lazy) -> the breakfast is good. I would rate it around 80%. There are an ‘occidental’ part (eggs, beacon, sausage and all usual stuff), a ‘Thai’ part (Thai dessert, eggs, very good local fuits, and every day a different set of Thai main courses) and a Chinese part as well (soups, noodles, fried stuff, sauces, …) and a part with sushi. Food is good, seems of good or very good quality. -> lovely pool (two sub part for the main one, allowing a space for children and another one for adultes) and a pool for the lounge. All three of them are clean, water is at the right temperature for south thailand. It is easy to find a seat and or bed to rest near those pools. -> the rooms are well decorated, spacious, bed are confortable. We got à communicating room. Bathroom is above average in term of space/decoration. -> the lounge is open from 11am to 10pm. There are always food (thai & occidental) -> staff is nice (which is quite common in thailand anyways) but within Dusit Thani hua hin, you feel that the staff care about your wellbeing. Special thanks to the person operating at the farm (buffalo, goats,chicken and tortures) which is very clean (for a farm) and animals lovely and obviously well treated all year long. Activity to plant rices, feed animals and pet them are interested for all children’s ( from 4 to 18 yo). -> check in / check out is quite fast.

This place is close to airport.

This place is close to airport. Took us hardly 20 minuets to reach. Close by lot of places to eat, 7/11 close by. After 9 in the evening becomes quiet deserted. Hotel does not have foreign currency exchange facility. You will be better off getting it done at airport as nothing is open close by for the exchange. Nearest exchange was told at Marriott which close by but closed and opens at 8 am.

I like Hua Hin for its relaxed pace of living and...

I like Hua Hin for its relaxed pace of living and comparatively lower cost of living there. The beach area is a nice place to hang around and have food while taking in the ocean view. There are also quite a few other attractions to visit in or near the city and I would like to rent a room and live there for a month during my next visit.

A must re the WW2 history.

A must re the WW2 history. Thai Burma Railway Museum really interesting and a good companion to the more personal Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre. The latter is worth a good few hours. We went by Grab and came back by bus to maximise the time and did the longer walk (walk takes c 3 hrs out and back). Take the train to Nam Tok and sit on the left going out. If you take the mid morning train you can come back straight away on the same train (need a new ticket tho). Get off at the Bridge station on the way back and walk across it. War cemetery beautifully kept. Good Times restaurant by river is really nice and staff are great.

The ancient sites were truly amazing and not to be missed. It was a lot of walking, but we visited most of them. There are many tuk-tuks readily available in the area. We ate at the night market, and I had some of the best food of anywhere in Thailand.

It all depends on where you stay.

It all depends on where you stay. Location to transport and markets and the room facilities in your residence being the deciding factor. The river ferry goes there if you are near the pier and some areas have trains - buses are plentiful if you know which ones to use.

Not a lot to like. There isn't really a beach most of the time - rather a stepped sea wall. It feels a bit rough. Probably not a destination that families should put on their list of places to go to in Thailand.

The city of Nakhon Pathom is a nondescript Bangkok satellite. It's congested, badly planned, and littered with architectural eyesores, the most tedious of which is an ugly, bulbous chedi in the central area. In contrast, the province of Nakhon Pathom can be quite charming, particularly along the riverbanks and khlong-side areas. Even so, for most tourists, Nakhon Pathom is best understood as a midway point between Bangkok and more interesting provinces of western and southern Thailand.

Bangkok is a major world city with a giant range of sights, facilities, activities, culture, and history to please almost any traveler. It is a good place to start for the novice traveler to Southeast Asia - centrally located and with an extensive tourist support industry. Suitable for any price range from penny-pinching backpackers to top-end sophisticates. And the food is great!

We had a great stay the front desk went out if their way to accommodate out late arrival 1AM. Driver was polite and helpful. Rasi at the front desk gave on the spot advise of how to get around Bonus was the breakfast and van ride to the airport.
