A friendly hotel with delightfully kind staff. It has a great location and a lovely charm. The room was comfortable, although the water in the shower drained a bit slowly. Breakfast was adequate, and the all-day snacks were a nice touch—the banana chips are delicious! The room was generally quiet, but if the neighbors sit out on their balcony even just to chat, you can unfortunately hear every word. We were lucky to have a very nice couple next door; when we asked them, they kindly moved inside so we could rest. The hotel organized a private taxi for us for a full day of sightseeing. Our driver was so cool and friendly that we decided to go with him again the next day.

The owner is super helpful,he gave us a full guide of activities to make around the city ,even though we only stayed two days,there is so much to see around.Also,the guide was in our language so my mom could understand without the help of a translator,that's super sweet. Even though the place is old school style,it has everything needed. The owner also helped us to book a tour around the temples which was super complete. I would definitely recommend it.

This place is paradise. Lots of bamboo buildings amidst gardens, fantastic views over hills and mountains. Lots of options at breakfast and for dinner (though for the latter, as in most places, not quite enough vegetarian options). Staff were all very friendly. The location is fairly isolated, but the resort itself is just a wonderful place to relax in a scenic, unpressured environment in the midst of beautiful gardens. Nice experience one day when a horse-riding monk from a nearby monastery turned up to collect offerings and bless the place.

Location and ease of check-in. I was looking for a place that allows late check-in and most hotels limit till 8pm. My flight arrived Chiang Rai airport at 9 pm. I took the bus from the airport into the city, and walked 10 minutes to the hotel. I was allowed to check in late here. The room was small, clean and basic. It was good enough for my short stay.

The location is well outside the centre of Chiang Rai, but that is its key point...in the mountains, quiet, natural, green. They keep the grounds perfectly, they also have a nature park just below the hotel property. The rooms are generous, and the breakfast was excellent on the outdoor terrace. The staff go out of their way to look after you.

Far better than chiang mai.

Far better than chiang mai. Cheap a few good bars and restaurants on and around walking street. The temples are the best we have ever seen. Very friendly and safe place. Thailand 25 years ago. No hassle and great people. Oh and very cheap.

Mae Salong is a beautiful haven for a getaway. Firstly, there are a few tea farms on the mountains. The scent of flowers wafts through the air almost wherever you go. Nothing is like the beauty of sun rise and sun set here. Last but not least, food is good.

It was a great stay for just two days (we arrived in the afternoon of a Friday and left on Saturday evening). It was long enough to see the Blue temple, the big Buddha, the white temple and the black house. We would recommend not to walk much, just use Grab for transportation between the temples.

I ❤️ Mae Salong. The clean crisp air and many local ethnic groups make this a great place to visit Love staying at Shin Sane GH or Little House GH. Each still offer great prices for cottages and Shin Sane still has the original rooms from wooden house and at a shoestring price for this region Love eating at Yunnan noodles down the road a bit past 7 Eleven and Salima’s. There’s a pure veg place heading towards the cathothic school nearby.

Acceptable for one night. You need a car to get to the hotel. The rooms are not soundproof. Quite loud from the traffic. The hotel is located directly on the main street. The breakfast is not bad and with good coffee to make yourself with a coffee machine.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.
