We loved our time at Samed Tamarind Beach Resort so very much - we had a villa with a sea view and it was just marvellous and peaceful. The villas are beautifully designed - with an especially luxurious bathroom! It was relaxing and heavenly. The staff were excellent, and always warm and they helped us with everything like taxis to the pier etc. The food was very good as well. Good breakfast! Samed Tamarind is tucked away in a quiet beautiful beach cove on the island - away from the hustle and bustle from the more popular beaches and shopping areas (all of which are easily accessible, however, should you want to explore, by walking or taxi). The hotel is also very well-equipped and prepared to repel mosquitos and insects and take great care doing so. Even if you aren’t carrying your own bug spray - they provide you with some in the room! You should carry it everywhere especially if you’re there during a wet season.

Great location near the best beach, the supermarket and wonderful fruit shops, nevertheless it was quiet. The air conditioning worked not too loud at night. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, the price was not high, we were satisfied and had a good time at the hotel.

we had a wonderful 4 nights in the Evelia hotel. The hotel is just so fresh, modern and pinterest style. we are so happy that we picked this hotel for our honeymoon. The beach is 2 mins away from the hotel. The breakfast has everything you need for a good filling breakfast. Big thanks to Dip (sorry if we misheard the name) , manager who made our stay even more wonderful, he is a true professional, very kind and always ready to help and solve any problem, can speak English perfectly. We stayed in master suite , it has smart TV, the AC, strong hair dryer , refrigerator and everything you need for comfortable stay. Also, the hotel offers electric bike rent , which is very convenient

Location and room size were more than good. It's very close everywhere. No need to take tuk-tuk. Everything's new and clean. Local food is high quality and reasonable priced. Highly Recommended.

To discover the island you can easily rent a scooter outiside the Hotel. Amazing hotel to stay at during the island vacation. The rooms and the bathroom are very spacious and comfortable, daily cleaning. We loved the pool area as well, plenty of shadow in after lunch hours. The territory of the hotel is also very beautiful, green and well mantained. Breakfasts are awesome-great selection of both western and asian dishes, good quality tasty food. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Very nice location as well, you can get to the nearest beach in under a minute and in additional 2-5 minutes you can get to the shops, restaurants and amazing wild beach. Loved our stay and definitely coming back when visiting Koh Samet again :)

It was our 4-th stay here. I think its the best hotel/resort on Koh Samet tho. The price is a little bit high, but its worth it. Breakfast was good, like in many 4-star hotels. The beach is clean, sand is white, water is crystal blue. And the bonus is another quiet beach on the other side of hotel, that was very quiet . We liked it the most. The beach bar is good too!!! they have coffee/food during the day, and dinner options and fire show in the evening ! 7/11 is 3 min walk from the property.

It started with the exceptional pier service to get to the island. The staff were excellent. The jangle rooms are in the jangle, giving you the feeling that you are in one. The coffee shop in the facility is excellent, especially the chocolate cake. The pool and the beach are great. It was one of our best hotels so far.

Beautifully well maintained garden of the property! Spacious bungalows and great Location of the hotel overlooking a quiet beach with a view of the sunset. Good breakfast buffet on the Asian side (rice/stir fries), with a chef present to cook eggs. I didn’t test the continental style.

It's one of my favorite beaches in Thailand, close enough to...

It's one of my favorite beaches in Thailand, close enough to Bangkok that you don't have to fly, but far enough away that the water is beautiful and the sand is white and soft. I always stay at the same resort on Tubtim beach (Tamarind), and it never disappoints - I don't even leave for food because their food is always delicious!

Loved the Viking Holiday Resort where we stayed. It was very peaceful and just what we needed - good access to beaches and quiet. However there are problems on Ko Samed as many resorts have gone out of business and are derelict - unfortunately with rubbish piling up outside them and nothing being done about that. So it really depends where you stay!

A great island to go and chill, small enough to walk around...

A great island to go and chill, small enough to walk around and still large enough to explore. We walked from our resort into the main town one afternoon to explore and had a meal, great local food offerings and so inexpensive.
