We just came back from our dream holidays in Tui Blue Zanzibar. We stayed in one of the Villas for five days, including the New Years Eve, when the hotel planned a memorable dinner followed by a party and presentations of local dancers and artist performances. The Villa is very comfortable and beautifully designed, and the private pool is just amazing. We also enjoyed all the activities planned for the guests and the variety of food offered in the restaurants. I would like to thank you all the amazing and cheerful staff, specially the Tui Blue Guide Celestine, who planned all the details of our memorable stay, booked the transfers and gave us all the top tips for the extra activities. You are amazing! Big thanks also to Hussein, who arranged our day trips in the island, and to Eva and Richard, who guided us through a unforgivable 2 hour walking in the reefs in front of the hotel.

Very kind, amazing and helpful personal, top service and fantastic good food. The Chefs and restaurants are world class and could easily have a Michelin star. You really feel that you are taking care of. They make sure you get the best relaxing stay and experience. Even the Manager is showing up and make sure you have the BEST stay. A really nice hotel with beautiful beach. The hotel has always activities, but they organize you as well everything very flexibel. The Hotel size is smaller than some neighboring hotels, but has a large garden, two pools, so you never feel it crowded, it has a very familiar atmosphere. The staff is amaizing! They are not only polite and friendly, but they come to you also to have company if they see that you are alone, or only to chat, or play table tennis. Herieth was also very helpful, and cared a lot about the guests, and always made sure they felt good.

Excellent location for quiet vacations. The tide change the view all the time. The villas are spacious, well equipped and modern designed. The sea view villas gives you the privacy that you want. The vibes are great — everything you need is nearby, including shops, restaurants, and tour offices. Restaurants on the beach tend to be a bit pricey, but if you take a short walk into the side streets, you’ll find places offering the same quality food at much more reasonable prices. What I didn’t like were the beach boys — they’re nice and friendly, but can be a bit annoying as they keep trying to sell things. They’re not too pushy, but it’s hard to relax when someone approaches you every couple of minutes. The only time you can truly enjoy some peace is early in the morning. Important note : you have to strongly negotiate the prices and people are very nice and easy going Try to learn few words from their language they will be super happy :)

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

Our stay was amazing and peaceful. The staff was funny and very friendly. Big thanks to Jana and her staff, Lameck in the restaurant section and Janet in housekeeping was so sweet and they looked after us at our 8-night stay. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Matemwe was nice - the beach part.

Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. The food was amazing though - the hotel goes much beyond - and all day brekfast concept was amazing.

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

Michamvi is located approximately 65 kilometers from Forodhani, and the journey can feel quite long—particularly if you have just arrived in Zanzibar. The drive is somewhat uncomfortable due to the condition of the road, which consists largely of worn, uneven tarmac. Additionally, the area lacks local street food options, leaving nearby hotels—most of which are high-end and expensive—as the primary dining choices. As someone who genuinely enjoys the rich and flavorful cuisine of Stone Town, I found the food in the area to be rather bland and not reflective of its price point.
