- From US$182.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 215 reviewsThis is an older motel that was refurbished while retaining its original charm. Our room (#9) was basic but spotless with a very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast had lots of variety and good coffee. For those seeking other options, there are several restaurants within a short drive. I'd also like to mention that due to an unexpected family situation at home, we were almost forced to cancel our stay. We were able to sort things out and keep our reservation but I'd be remiss if I didn't thank Rhonda (innkeeper) for her prompt responses and assistance with late check-in instructions. We'd recommend the Briarcliffe and will be back!Guest review byMichaelCanada
- From US$389.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 22 reviewsAll the staff there are super friendly. Because I checked-in late (6PM), they also offered me a complementary 12 PM check-out the next day (1 hr later than the normal 11 AM checkout). The property is clean and well-maintained. The common area gives me a cozy feeling. We had some great chatter sitting near the fireplace with a couple of drinks. The room we booked (Ramble) has a daybed and a window you can look out too. I believe in spring or summer the view will be much greener (we visited in early Feb). The bedding is super comfy. The mattress is not too soft to make you feel you are sinking into it, which I really like.Guest review byKaiUnited States
- From US$127.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 347 reviewsThe location was very well placed to visit so many historic sites in the area. The room was quiet, and well equipped with coffee and tea making facilities, nice clean towels and good size bathroom!, Although the motel was fully booked there was plenty of room for breakfast either in the breakfast room or taking it to your room!. The continental breakfast was well stocked with hot and cold selection. If some items ran low it was quickly replenished!! The owners made you feel very welcome and open to advising the best routes to places of interest!Guest review bygeoffreyUnited Kingdom
- From US$140.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,472 reviewsAn absolute find in the Berkshires! A lovely, quiet holiday village on top of a hill/mountain with lovely views and everything well managed. Free laundry facilities in each floor/house, lovely big apartment with a proper kitchen, lounge and bedroom. The bathroom was massive and immaculate and comes with a jacuzzi. The little patio was great, especially as we were facing the woods, not the car park. Great amenities on site, heated pool, barbecue areas, indoor pool and a games room. Great coffee in lounge. Perfect little family holiday.Guest review byPirittaFinland

We had a huge double room, with lounge, kitchenette and monster bathroom with spa bath as well as biggest shower on our trip! Dinner in pub restaurant which formed part of the complex was excellent- the biggest and best seared scallops ever! All staff were very welcoming and this was a great way to start our fall trip oif a lifetime. Thanks to all!Guest review byKEITHAustralia

Its like a 4 star hotel for the price of a motel. It's super clean, comfortable and they even leave you Hershey's kisses in your room! Yum yum. Not mentioning mouth wash. Worth every single penny I payed, we will definitely come back.Guest review byhiga76Poland
- From US$356.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 298 reviewsI loved that the historic quality of the Inn was preserved and that it had not been renovated to death. Its antique charms were well preserved and that’s what I loved best. The creaking floors, the dark hallways with nooks and crannies, the wonderful antiques. Please don’t change!Guest review byCatherineUnited States

Lenox seems more crowded than mid-town Manhattan in summer, especially weekends, but the town traffic control is very good and after many short stays in the area, it remains our choice destination. Be patient, find a place to park, then walk in the village. Make dinner reservations well in advance. Drive out to one of several near-by walking places (and/or drives). Choose from the many mansions open for touring in Lenox or within driving distance (e.g., The Mount (my favorite), Ventfort Hall, Arrowhead, etc.) and art museums nearby (the Clark Art in Williamstown is amazing). Stroll in the peaceful Berkshires Botanical Garden (Stockbridge). Make a plan and then deviate at will.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 4.0

I stayed in Pittsfield to visit the New Lebanon and Pittsfield Shaker villages. It was wonderful to see these historical places. Pittsfield is a bit sad as a town, a bit decayed... though they do have a theater and a concert hall.Guest review byLILIANAChile - 8.0

There is little to see in Williamstown itself, apart from the campus of the college, which is less architecturally pleasing than (say) Amherst. Nonetheless, it is an excellent base from which to see the Berkshires and southern Vermont.Guest review byDouglasUnited States - 8.0

We stayed in Great Barrington to attend a performance at the Mahaiwe. It was leaf-peeping season, so we stayed two nights. It was a pleasure to drive around the countryside. We had breakfast both days at Marketplace Kitchen Table, right across the street from our motel. On Saturday evening we ate at The Well. The food and service are great, but there can be a wait to eat indoors.Guest review byTom HackettUnited States - 6.0

I didn't stay in Lee for anything that was in Lee, but for Lee's proximity to Stockbridge, and Lenox. Lee had nothing that I was interested in and I was only in the town when in my room ar the hotel.Guest review byWalshUnited States - 6.0

Definitely glad to have visited Joe's Cafe, a local watering hole for many years. We chatted with the waitress, a few other customers, and Joe's son Frank. It's that kind of place--hot coffee, mushroom omelette for my wife, corn beef hash with eggs up for me.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 8.0

Stockbridge is charming, the Rockwell Museum and grounds are worth a trip. Good location to visit all of the Rte 7 Berkshires from the VT border to CT. Best food found in W.Stockbridge or Lenox and best shopping Great Barrington and The Mount, Botanical Gardens and Mt. A very "walkable" town that has much to offer - a good selection of restaurants and arts activities. The presence of MCLA and the many state and local parks really enhances the area's cultural and outdoor offerings. Although there a a handful of stately homes that are need of repair, this only enhances the charm of the city. Within an hour's walk, I was able to take in a good portion of the city. Highly recommend Ramunto's Brick Oven Pizza - delicious food and an easy walk from Downstreet Hotel and other points downtown.Guest review byCathleen StephenUnited States - 8.0
Lenox is a small, pretty, quiet New England town.
Lenox is a small, pretty, quiet New England town. Summertime visit and everything is green and lush, and flowers are in bloom everywhere. Very little downtown area so you’l see it in a couple of hours at most and then you’re done. If you are going there to see a concert at Tanglewood, (also in Lenox), this is the town to stay. If you are going to the Berkshires for excitement, nightlife, however, it’s not happening here. Nice meal (late one lunch/early dinner) at the Old Heritage Tavern in their outdoor patio in back. All four of us were happy with our meal choices and very pleasant waitress. All the shopkeepers we came across (artist studios, home goods, clothing stores) were really friendly and helpful.Guest review byLaura
