The personal was friendly and helpful. The place itself is amazing. We enjoyed the bonfire at the evenings, the breakfasts were good, and there are several very good restaurants around. Our kids enjoyed the horse riding at the area of the hotel, the pool and jacuzzi. Highly recommended place to stay if you travel to Capitol ReefGuest review byAnnaUkraine

Torrey is a cute little town just 8 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park. Several restaurant and lodging choices but close enough to the park. FYI, better gas prices can be found in Bicknell, about 10 miles west on SR 24.Guest review byMargaretUnited States - 10.0
A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability.
A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability. So if you are planning to do one, book early. There was only 1 restaurant that open while we were there. We love the Petrified Forest, Escalante River hike, Lower Calf Falls, as well as the Long Slot Canyon. Some of the attractions need a 4x4. Wish we knew ahead of time. Overall, very enjoyable! Cute little town with lots to do.Guest review byDianaUnited States - 10.0

The hotel was situated at the right location for the places I wanted to see. To the east were the hanksville sites, to the west were the Capitol reef national Park attractions. If you wanted quietness this is itGuest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Bicknell is a small town about 10 miles outside of Capitol Reef National Park where you can find hotel rooms that are less expensive and family restaurants. Bicknell is a bed-room community for the National Parks, not really a destination of it's own.Guest review byAnnetteUnited States - 10.0

We were on a 5 week cross country vacation and saw a lot of hotels along the way...this was by far one of the best. This hotel has been newly renovated and the rooms are very inviting. The owners were very accommodating. Loa is a small town and everyone was very friendly. I would stay here again and recommend anyone looking at hotels between the Arches and Canyonland should definitely pick this one. You will not be disappointed!Guest review byMaryUnited States - 10.0

If you like to explore the desert, there are plenty of places to go off the beaten path. If you're not comfortable with that, there's a lot of beauty close to the road too. Hell's Backbone Grill was worth the splurge - delicious food and they even made us a special request cocktail that tasted better than the typical one you would get somewhere else.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0

Hanksville has lots of wonderful outdoor activities in and around the town, particularly Capitol Reef National Park and Goblin Valley State Park. If you aren't outdoorsy or active, there might not be much to do for you. The town itself is quite small, and not everything is open in the winter. It is cute and has character, but is not exactly exciting.Guest review byKellyUnited States - 10.0

This tiny town just outside Capitol Reef National Park has several cool places to stay, but the Skyview Hotel is exceptional & I strongly recommend you give it a try if going to the park. There are also several interesting restaurants. We chose Hunt & Gather (about a minute from the Skyview) & the food was amazing!Guest review byTomHeadUnited States - 10.0

It was a great place, would be fun to rent the entire place with a big group. As I told the owners the back patio needs a little work to make it more welcoming to hang out on. It does not have an hotel or lodge feeling. Lots up junk that needs cleaning up or a fence separating you from the shop surrounding. Also you apparently have to rent for more than one night to have access to use washer and dryer.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Breakfast was minimal.
Breakfast was minimal. Granola bar and oatmeal which you had to ask for. No soap in the shower or extra toilet paper. They are definitely operating on a budget. No place to eat out in this town. Be prepared.Guest review byClintUnited States
