We did a 5 day trip through Arizona / Utah / Nevada, staying in 5 different places, and Bluff Dwellings was the best place we stayed in. The location is absolutely stunning if you like rocks, the town is small and very friendly. The pool is luxurious, the fire pits around the property are great for evening chill outs, and the room was perfect!

It is a lovely little spot and the lady on the front desk was so helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stop here again. The comfy chairs at the front of the rooms outside where a bonus to sit out and chat to neighbours. It's a credit to you mokee motel.

If you love the beauty of the desert, respect and admire Navajo culture, and want to be surrounded by iconic visions of the Southwest, Monument Valley is a bucket list trip for sure. I would go back with family, perhaps booking a horseback trip in the park next time.

the hotel was easy to get to, plenty of parking however was a bit taken back when front staff said they had had some vandalism to cars, but at least they let us know and told us to put a card on our car so night watch could know whose car it was and we had no issues, the setting was lovely, we ate in the restaurant and it was the dish I had was absolutely wonderful-a green chili stew with pablano. The gift shop cute and inviting. The room was clean-we just stayed one night. we stayed there so we could get the anteloupe canyon Navajo tour which was pretty close

We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort. The museum was interesting and food was quite good other than the country western music, which is not our style. We took the Sunrise Tour through Gould's Resort and it was excellent. The formations in Monument Valley are fabulous. The movie and Navajo history are also very interesting.

Desert Rose has the best and ONLY decent restaurant in the 'one-horse' town of Bluff. It was closed on the Saturday and Sunday of our visit - and, indeed, EVERY Saturday and Sunday!!!!!!! Avoid this 'town' if you can.

Kayenta is a nice out of the ordinary place to visit. Location to other attractions was exactly what we were looking for. Everyone we had contact with were very nice , helpful and informative. The dinning establishments were adequate and again very accommodating.

I'm not normally into landscapes, but this was an incredible experience. The facades of the natural monuments have weathered into pictorial dioramas. It's astonishing the variety of visual angles available to the eye at different times of the day as the sun rises and sets.

The Bluff Fort museum looked interesting but it was too hot to walk around. In mid-July, there were very few options for dining, which became a bit of a challenge for my diabetic husband. The pizza from the gas station convenience store kept us fed after a long day at Monument Valley. Utah forces you to be self-reliant in every way, although the gas prices in town were better than in Moab.

The main advantage of Kayenta is that it is about 25 minutes drive for the Monument Valley and it is basically the only place at this distance that has decent facilities and places to stay. And even so the selection is not that great. Otherwise it is an unremarkable place.
