This was a good value hotel on the edge of a small town. Most of the back packers stay in homestays in the villages, so the town itself is unspoilt. Great views across the fields, but some noise from the main road, although fairly quiet at night. The hotel was super friendly and helpful, giving us directions for a cycle tour which was amazing to see the countryside and rural life. Also helped booking a trip to Pu Luong, laundry and airport transfer. Big beds too. We enjoyed our stay.

I had a truly memorable stay at Cọ Retreat. The location is remote but incredibly peaceful – surrounded by mountains, forests, and overlooking the Da River. It's the perfect place to unplug and slow down. The bungalows are cozy, clean, and thoughtfully built with natural materials. I especially loved waking up to the sound of birds and watching the mist roll over the lake in the morning – absolutely magical! Staff were kind and helpful, always making sure we felt comfortable. Meals were simple but delicious, with fresh local ingredients and traditional flavors. If you're looking for a place to relax, read a book, enjoy nature, or just breathe deeply – this is it. A hidden gem worth discovering.

It's definitely a perfect 10/10. Seldom do I submit a review before I leave, but this is an exception as it's an exceptional homestay/hotel with extremely excellent hosts. It feels as if you're good friends (even a relative) rather than a paying guest (not to mention the price is a bargain)...the genuine service is that good and outstanding. It honestly feels like you are staying with family who have decked out their house to not only make your stay comfortable and enjoyable but have catered to avoid their "friends" from getting bored. Now, over my decades of travelling I have stayed in some lavish and very luxurious places (+500 USD per night and beyond), and although the places and services are impeccable, it still feels like you're only a paying guest and the kindness shown is part of their job and associated with the cost. This accommodation property truly does not, and their service, attention, and friendliness are genuine and from the heart. Within sensible reason, they have fitted out and included all the things a guest could want. For example; Covered, tiled large pool (with lights and a fountain) with male/female showering & toilet facilities....even an automatic flushing urinal for the men!! Balconies with cafe style seating. Pool table & ping pong table. A basketball court. An outside, covered, Karaoke lounge area. An enclosed and air-conditioned lounge room with large flatscreen TV & Hi-Fi system....away from the accommodation (for quietness). A sky deck with undercover sitting areas. A water fountain feature. A small playground area for little children. A Foosball table. All this and garden areas, sitting areas and mood lighting too. They have many different types of room to accommodate singles, couples, and families.

We visited Halo Retreat while touring Vietnam on our motorcycles. We had a fantastic stay and are very grateful to our host who guided us to a mechanic to fix an issue with one of our bikes. Our room was clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, the evening meal we had was delicious and I have high praise for our friendly and helpful hosts. I also enjoyed the location, which was peaceful and close to nature. Many thanks for a rememberable stay.

We arrived as family of four with two bicycle and two children after dark and were immediately helped with all our luggage etc. In general, The personell was extremely helpful and nice to all of us. But exceptional was Mr. Xuan Long, who drove us around in the park and took care of us. He has an exceptional voice too and is a star singer. Thank you!!! The Meddom park was a new experience for us, the park is nicely set up with love in the detail. The room was small but had everything necessary. We felt comfortable and well remember our time in Meddom park and would like to come again. Thank you very much!
