All attractions are close by that can be reached by bike. The hotel permitted us early check in and even allowed us to use the room after check out to freshen up. I would recommend to book the bungalow as it has much space. Rooms are equipped with basic necessities and a smart tv too. Great breakfast.

We stayed one more night to enjoy the 5th hotel's anniversary party, thanks again Kim and Chang for that evening! Beautiful spot with really cozy bungalows. Just a couple hundred meters from Tam Coc center. Bikes can be rented for free, and motorcycles for 100 000 dong per day. You get free and relaxing footbaths each day between 7 and 10 pm. They also serve you warm cinnamon tea each time you arrive. The staff is really nice and helpful.

The property was steps away from the centre of the town. We lived in separate bungalow next to the pool and little pond with decorative fishes, so much used to humans so they came out of the water hoping for treat and gently touches. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and very private. Breakfast was always great. Staff was very polite and supportive. Strongly recommend.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the location was perfect: quiet and beautiful but close enough to town to easily walk there for dinner. The house was a 12/10! She was so helpful with suggestions and guidance. We also loved meeting the dogs: Zun and Lak :)

Our stay was unforgettable! We were four Spanish travelers and enjoyed every moment. The pool with its stunning views was the perfect place to relax after exploring. Nguyen went above and beyond, helping us with great suggestions and arranging everything we needed, even once we had left. Bit of a hidden gem in Trang An. Beautiful view of Mua Caves - truly felt like a holiday spot. Staff were very lovely and helpful. They helped us book our transportation, motorcycle rental, and organised our laundry for us. All at fair prices. They also cleaned our room which we didn’t expect for a short stay ☺️

I was looking for a beautiful chill place near Ba Dinh Pagoda and I found everything I wanted: a quiet spacious room, a nice swimming pool, a great restaurant and free bikes. The staff was exceptional, thoughtful, and very helpful. I spent only two days there, but it felt like a full scale holiday.

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem Ninh Binh absolutely blew me away. It feels like a quieter, more peaceful version of Ha Long Bay but on land — stunning limestone mountains, rice fields, and winding rivers everywhere. I took a boat ride in Tam Coc, and it was incredibly scenic and calm, passing through caves and local villages. The people were welcoming, and the food was delicious and cheap. It’s the perfect spot to relax, explore nature, and escape the city rush. Easily one of my favorite places in Vietnam!

The bed was a king size, comfiest bed I have slept in all Vietnam, also the air con worked, having your own bathroom and shower, and the staff were super lovely. Loved the stay here felt super luxurious.

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

Really good place to go if you want to see natural beaty, cool caves, really beautiful trekks, love boating and ancient temples. i could easily have stayed for more that 3 days but my time there was short.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.
