Set in a lovely quiet location out of the city , surrounded by mountains and fields .The staff were very warm and welcoming,and the whole place was beautifully designed with greenery and ponds and the most gorgeous bungalows! Ours was a little teepee type bungalow with a matress which was incredibly comfortable,and views from both sides ,of the garden and of the mountain. The vegetarian food we ordered was excellent. Lovely place , definitely would come back!

The staff was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming! They offered us welcoming tea whenever we were arriving at the place. The communication was easy. When we left, they gave us a bag with water and snacks for the road. I wish I could stay longer. Must-stay place in Tam Coc!

We were treated very well. We arrived early and I was feeling sick, they served us breakfast and gave us a room to rest while ours was getting ready. It is very close to the village, the room is comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is incredible.

Had an amazing stay at the Green Heaven Retreat. Perfect location for me in the peace and quiet of the rice fields surrounded by mountains, but still walking distance to Tam Coc (1 km) They also have bicycles you can borrow for free. The owner and manager were very welcoming and helpful, and gave me tips about what places to explore in the area. They even helped me fix my bike 🙏❤️ Will definitely be coming back

    Beautiful hotel and the staff were great and always willing to help. A few language barriers here and there but nothing that couldn't be managed with a bit of patience. The big bathtub in the room was a bliss after traveling in the mountains of Vietnam for 4 days. The staff helped us a lot with recommendations in regards of which activities to do and which ones to skip as we didn't have time to do all of them and they really met our needs. We decided to extend our stay by one night and we booked a different (a bit cheaper) room but the staff offered to upgrade us. .

    Surrounded by pristine nature, this is the perfect place for relaxing and that too not far from the city center. Staff are exceptional in their hospitality. Are courteous and super helpful. Gave me a very early check-in at 8am as luckily the room was available, prepared early breakfast as I was checking out before 7am and to top it all went above and beyond to help me catch my transport as there was some road closure in the town area. Overall would highly recommend this place.

    As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.

    I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

    The view is stunning.

    The view is stunning. I was shocked of how beautiful and cleaned this city is. You can enjoy cycling around the city under the quiet, historic and cultural atmosphere. At the famous landmarks, there was no scam or shoving, hustling, jostling. The goat meat in Ninh Binh is so delicious
