We loved Dunkeld East Hotel for its pristine cleanliness and seamless harmony with nature. The soothing sounds of the lake and birds added to its natural charm. It is on top of a mountain, fantastic views and beautiful surroundings. The chalets are fully equipped houses with everything you could need. Beautifully furnished and well maintained. Very clean. The restaurant accommodated a la carte for our kids even though it was buffet night. Great service. We will definitely stay longer next time!

The hotel was very nice, clean and well maintained. The room was much bigger than expected and had great facilities. It was very clean and comfortable and well prepared for colder days as had fire place in the room and radiator in the bathroom. Although the WiFi signal was very weak in the room and kept dropping, I would still rate my stay 10/10.

    We have stayed in Dullstroom many times, and it never disappoints! On this quick one-night stopover we ate supper at The Dullstroom Inn. The roaring fire in the fireplace has been alight since 1980 - so a lovely place to eat on a cold winter night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

    The photos on the websites are definitely not a true...

    The photos on the websites are definitely not a true reflection of how the place actually looks. Had I seen the surroundings and how dilapidated the buildings looked from outside, I would never have booked. I also arrived at "dead man's door". Nobody in sight for atleast 15-20 min. I actually thought I had been scammed. When someone eventually arrived, they were friendly and helpful. Once I checked into my room I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was old but neat and tidy. The bedding and towels smelt absolutely amazing. There was coffee, tea, sugar and powdered milk available but unfortunately only 1 coffee sachet was given. I had hot water in the evening and morning which was great. I was given a torch for when load shedding starts. For the price paid, it was okay for a quick overnight stay. I do just think some effort needs to be made to the outer appearance as the location already looks dodgy. I don't know if I will book there again. This will be my last resort if other places aren't available.

    the friendliness of the hotel staff. the room was always clean. firewood was plentiful. nothing was too much trouble ' we ate in the hotel & lots of different restarants in Dullstroom, all were good & value for money. it's very easy to get around Dullstroom. wouldn't avoid anything. everywhere was a pleasure to visit.

    It was my partner's birthday, so we went to Clarkys Lakeside...

    It was my partner's birthday, so we went to Clarkys Lakeside restaurant to celebrate, and it was nothing short of amazingness, from the staff to the food to the venue itself. We tried exploring as many restaurants as we could but because it was cold, we only managed to do Dunkeld and the Banks. The people of the town are very friendly and welcoming.
